^^^ Listen to this guy ^^^
Spartacus is right on the money. The first thing we know about this game is that Malzahn's offense will have no chance of running the ball against Alabama. Malzahn knows this too, so look for Auburn to come out throwing the ball. Auburn, however, also has no shot of winning this game through the air. Look for Jeremy Johnson to relieve Nick Marshall once the game gets out-of-hand.
I think minimum margin of victory is at least 28 points.
This is coming from the same guy that screamed all Summer that Auburn made a terrible choice for hiring Gus..Jimmy, u are crazy mAn..hey, it's a free country.Gawd, Bama fans better hope they win ..bc all I will be Singing Is I Talk Too Much & Never shut up..AJ is just a strong Brodie...

Your point is well taken. Auburn's rushing stats were somewhat inflated in that game by a 67-yard run by WR Terrell Zachary on Auburn's 4th play from scrimmage. The 2009 game was the first meeting between Malzahn and Saban so Malzahn's scheme was still somewhat a novelty to the Alabama coaching staff. In fact if you look at the play-by-play in that game, Auburn gain most of their yardage on the ground in the first two possessions of the game - both resulting in touchdowns. After those first two possessions, Auburn has never had success running the ball again.
In 97 rushes in three games, that 67-yard rush stands alone as the only long rushing play against Alabama. In others words, a long run has occurred on exactly 1% of all the running plays against Alabama's defense. So as gamblers, are we going to put our money on the 1% probability or the 99% probability?
Furthermore, if we take away the outlier 67-yard run from the stats, Auburn rushed the ball 31 times for 84 yards, or 2.7 ypc. As you can see from the rushing stats in the subsequent games, 2.7 ypc is much more consistent with what we can expect to see in Saturday's game.
For the Love of Gawd if Auburn's Qb could have just broke a 5.3 40 yd dash we win that game.Jimmy, I don't think anybody thinks Auburn is gonna have to drive the ball..Auburn is gonna move the ball and score 30 PTs IMo..This game will revolve around how Auburn s D holds up against that machine of an offense..We gonna score and score 30+ just don't know if we can keep them from scoring 50..28pts? Come on man! that's ridiculous.

Today is Black Friday tomorrow is Black Sat for Bammers..Just like in 1982,1989& 2002 where it's just time for the football GODs to pull their magic..Like Jimmy said earlier about 2009 game..It's gonna take some big plays to beat this team. This program has been farting horseshoes for 2 yrs..it's time for some bad luck..It's just so damn hard to win one title much less 3peat..I don't care how great your coach and team is.I think we got the better Gameday coach and it will show Sat.
Congrats on a great season WCE!!! I hope the Alabama schools are playing in the Iron Bowl for the SEC West crown every year. That's the way it should be.
I understand and respect your position. I think we have similar thoughts on Alabama's offense versus Auburn's defense. I think Alabama gets into the 40s, or very close to it.
Where we differ is on Auburn's offense versus Alabama's defense. I think Alabama's defense will dominate that match-up. I honestly don't think Auburn has a snowflake's chance in hell of scoring 20 points, much less 30. As I have said, while I don't think this will be a shutout, I do think it has shutout potential.

I'm done arguing with the moron. As Mark Twain once wisely advised,
"Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat your with experience."

If you think by providing statistics that isn't relevant to the topic at hand, then yes, I've been outclassed.
Clearly we have completely different views on this match up, so we'll see once they play the game who has been "outclassed"

ok, stache, so you're saying you like Auburn because bama is overrated and they've played an easy schedule. way to give us some good X's and O's on this one or anything that would lead us to believe you have a clue what you're talking about.
at least give us some logic that makes sense. Auburn has played basically the same schedule as Bama so your one point is weak.
what a waste of a write up and anyone's time reading it.
