Jimmer is a better shooter and scorer. He is not a better player.
Kemba plays much better defense, is a better leader, and plays well in all aspects of the game. Jimmer is a terrific player but is not the overall threat Kemba is on the floor, at both ends.
I am not sure if this has reached you yet... but Kemba Walker did not even win best player in his conference... let alone best player in the nation

Cincy was beating them just the other night. Nobody is getting blown out in this game, good try though
If Kemba Walker wasn't given the NBA 5 step without dribbling... followed up by a crucial 3 pointer... Cinci wins the game outright In fact without the Celebrity whistle... UConn likely loses to Bucknell...

Learn the facts before you speak.
A coach who had lost in the Kemba Walker recruiting battle still is bitter and left him off the ballot completely for all BE teams. Thats the only reason Hansbrough was the only unanimous selection. The same coach didn't vote for Walker in BE POY and other coaches chose Hansbrough because he led ND to the 2nd best record in conference and Kemba was on a team that finished 9th.
I know you hate the BE and UConn but fact is he is the best player in the country. That doesn't mean he will be the best NBA player, from this class, or a star in the NBA.

He is about the 5th best player in the country... I will give you that I am pulling for UConn against SDSU although I don't think they will win....

Not sure who the 4 players you think are better but I am guessing Nolan smith, Jimmer, Sullinger are 3 of those 4.
Kemba has averages more points (obviously Jimmer averages more), steals and rebounds than both Nolan and Jimmer. He averages more assists than Jimmer but not Nolan and he has a better Assist to turnover ratio than both Jimmer and Nolan. He led a team of all freshman and sophomores to a season no one in basketball expected. He didn't have any upperclassmen or established complimentary players. He mentored and took all the freshman under his tutelage and because of his leadership they have grown as a team.
He is the most important player to any team in the country. He also has the stats to separate him from the others. He led them to be undefeated outside of the be conference, led them to the BE tourney title by accomplishing a feat that might never be replicated, and now he has them in the sweet 16 while his presence makes them a threat to any team on any night because of what he brings to the table every single night.
He also has hit about 6 game winners this year, more than other players that he is up against for POY. He is the most clutch player this year.

While I respect what you say... a feat that will never be replicated? Come on... the Big East has had 5 rounds for a couple years and it has already happened once.
How you determine he is more valuable to UConn than any other player to their respective team in the country is beyond me. With Kyrie Irving's injury... take away Nolan Smith... and Duke loses A LOT OF GAMES. Take away Derrick Williams from Arizona... do they even make the tournament? Take away Jimmer from BYU... and they are long long gone. UConn has much more talent than some of these teams. (BYU... Zona...)
Kemba Walker is projected a very late first round NBA pick right now. And while there is an obvious difference between the two...
Derrick Williams Kyrie Irving (better player... but was hurt all year) Sullinger Jimmer Nolan Alec Burks
Also Nolan Smith had a better fg%, 3pt %, ft%... not to mention that the first 8 games (with Kyrie) his numbers were no where near his end of the season numbers... showing how much he has meant to Duke.

Kemba is also the focal point of every defense every time he steps on the court.
Every other team, outside of BYU, has another player the defenses must keep an eye on which allows someone like Nolan Smith or Sullinger to be more successful, more easily than Kemba.

Lamb has scored over 11 points in 7 straight games... and 8 out of his last 10. He averages double digits on the year...

No it has never happened. Check your facts. Cuse played 4 games in 4 days, not 5 games in 5 days.
Nolan's 3 pt percentage and Ft % are basically the same as Kemba's.
Nolan benefits from having Singler, Dawkins, Curry, and the Plumlees. He is not getting double teamed and have 3 guys collapse on him anytime he penetrates or is handling the ball.
Jimmer is the only other player, now with Davies out, that has to deal with what Kemba has to deal with on a nightly basis. But Kemba is the better all around player and gets more assists, rebounds, steals, Assist to turnover ratio and is mroe important to his team.

It wasn't until the last month of the season he has stepped up. He is a freshman who has had his ups and downs. He wasn't physically or mentally prepared for the BE and he hit a wall.
Kemba took him aside and let him know he had to be more aggressive and how important his play and success was for UConn to have a chance to go far in the post season. Kemba is a leader like no other player in college and has more heart than any player.
If he could average 1 point a game and 12 assists and UConn was still winning and as dangerous as theya re right now... He would gladly take the wins and not worry one bit about his stats. All he cares about is the W and being a leader for his teammates and setting the right example of playing hard for 40 minutes and picking eachother up.

Perhaps you misunderstood... the one time I am referencing is UConn. They have only had 5 rounds for what... 2 years? 3 years? I am saying it will happen again in a very mediocre conference where anyone can win on any given night

I was unaware #22 was a lotto pick He is not even mentionable in the same class as those 10... sorry
draftexpess is a much better site. They actually ahve scouts and people with connections to NBA execs that write for their site.
NBAdraft.net is a joke. The writer for UConn Daily Campus write for their site and is an analyst.
If you are unable to see the difference in those 2 sites just cause you want to hate on UConn and Kemba, well power to you. Calhoun has also heard from NBA execs who are interested in Kemba and have told him he is a lottery candidate.

ARE WE REALLY COMPARING THE MTN. WEST TO THE BIG EAST? S. DIEGO ST IS A .500 TEAM IN THE BIG EAST. S. DIEGO ST. WAS FORCED INTO 2-OT'S WITH A TEMPLE. UCONN WON 5 IN FIVE DAYS FOR THE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP. WHO ELSE DID THAT? AT THIS POINT THEY ARE CLEARLY THE HOTTER TEAM.
Don't chase today, there's always tomorrow in gambling....

Our projections are based on the opinions of the scouts that work for
NBADraft.net, and the NBA and International scouts that we speak with.
