NCST as expected cruises to set up tomorrow's more interesting matchup with the defensive minded Cavaliers. On a personal note, thank you Michigan for that 14.5 point cover.
I'm not sure about this WAKE/MD matchup, the Terps play good ''D'' but commit far too many turnovers and don't shoot the ball well. Going to layoff this game against a scrappy Wake team. There will be a play on CLEM/FSU though. GL to all!

LVILLE -9.5 vs Nova, if it were possible for the Cards to know they would be playing Villanova today, this date would have been circled on the calendar. Louisville gets ready to make a another championship run-

Outside the "ACC" my 2 current plays-
COL +5 vs AZ, a little rivalry brewing here?

I suspect an unpopular play but just the type of game that upsets occur, one team on a bit of a roll, one team struggling. FSU won both encounters this year, 2 close games decided by 3 and 5. Clemson plays really good defense, I was impressed with the way they played against MIA, in spite of losing. Neither team can boast offensively, this should be an ugly game, and close again. Clemson sees the law of averages swing their way. I'll take thepoints-

A good finish, with covers by Mizzou and Washington, to a wild Thursday in Conference tourney play.
Not sure if anyone had a better game yesterday than Olivier Hanlan from BC. What a performance. Wonder what Shane Larkin was thinking. Hanlan made just about everything. Can he do it again against a good defensive player like Larkin and the rest of this talented MIA squad? That's asking alot, an awful lot imo. Top schools like Kansas, Louisville, Gtown, Michigan, came out and made statements yesterday. It's the Canes turn today-
MIA-7.5
NCST did their thing with an easy win over VATECH. The Virginia Cavaliers will provide a more stern test with their defense and slow pace of play. Will the Pack have patience in their half court set and will they be able to get out and run on the slower footed 'Cavs? Both teams could use a win, Virginia more so, but you never know about upsets and automatic qualifiers. Every year a couple of the big boys get knocked out so you must believe you have to win every game. If NCST were to lose today, the selection committee isn't going to like an underachieving team who gets knocked out in their conference quarterfinals, in their home state, by a team who can't win outside their home state. Lose today and neither team will sleep well between now and Sunday. Both these teams will have that mindset, and motivation won't be a problem. The Pack is 4-1 S/U and ATS the last 5 games. Defense can keep you in the game but it's the ball going in the basket that will get you that win more often than not. NCST has a plethora of players adroit at doing just that-
NCST-1
With a little luck, we'll have that NCST/MIA semifinal tomorrow I'm hoping for
Hate to say it, the Tar Heels are officially being put on upset watch today!

The Gators flex their muscle as they make a run thru the mediocre SEC. FLA thinking Final Four this year. Pay attention MIA, that's what a no. 1 seed does

NCST, big win for me and I get the Canes and the Pack tomorrow as I had anticipated, which puts one of my 2 teams in the final game on Sunday. That's all I could ask for.
MICH, disappointing game. No defensive toughness.
Tonight locked so far-
'Cuse +2, -115. The intensity of this rivalry will play out tonight
'Noles +8, too many points for a Carolina team so dependent on the outside shot. FSU playing well and this is the 3rd game this season between the 2 with UNC having won both.
Bruins +4, say, Larry Drew has learned how to play basketball since leaving Carolina hasn't he?

TERPS' +12, -115, I think the board work of Maryland will give them a fighters chance to win. I hate to bet against Duke, but I'm sensing this game might be closer than alot of people expect.

Jose, I hear what your saying, Duke could win by 30 if they play their best. Taking MD may not make alot of sense, really it's a gut play, just taking a shot here. GL to you!

Great halves for 'Cuse and the Terps, far from over I know. Just hoping MD can keep it close and you never know what might happen, Maryland's last ACC tournament
