I'm with Lav on this one, I've already hit the over a bit at 167.  I think this is in the 170s.  With Providence this year, I'd never wanna be on an under, been riding their overs all year.  I wouldn't look at past matchups beyond last year since Keno took over.   This should definitely be a high scoring game at least into the 160s.  My math has it at 174.8.

imo syracuse hits the century mark against prov. so can prov hit 70 ??? these 2 teams will not play any defence. Good luck UNC

Does anybody like ST John's -3 1/2 over Rutgers it stood out at me as I was at all the lines would buy a half a point and make it three.

This is one of the better threads we have seen this season with the discussion on the Syracuse/Providence Total.  This is what we need everyday, good facts, reasons, knowledge, etc why to back a certain pick.

With that said I like the Under as well, I see a 85-70 type game.

Does no one like Prov +16 here?  Syracuse is not a great FT shooting team and prone to turnovers.

This is a completely different type of ball that they play under Keno.  No PC team was in the top 30 before in tempo ever... but under Keno, last year they were 10th.. and this year they are playing almost 3 possessions per game faster and they are in 5th in the country.

Last years game hit 194 points and there were a total of 82 possessions.  If this game has 82 possessions, there is no way it doesn't go over.  

Another thing that everyone should consider is that there is no quit with Keno.  He fouls down the stretch as long as they are within 20 points.   If they are down 12-15 with 4 minutes left, Keno will start fouling.

Some examples of this:

- @ ND earlier in the season... the score was 75-65 with 4:00 left.  Keno decided to put on the full court press and foul if they didn't get the steal.  In the last 4 minutes, there was a total of 31 points and the final ended up 93-78 (and thats with no fouling in the last 40 seconds).

- @ Cincy on Saturday night... down 75-65 with 4 minutes left.... Keno decides to start pressing and fouling just like the ND game...  In the last 4 minutes, there were 40 POINTS and the final was 92-88...


So this is an incredibly risky play unless you think they are gonna be down by 20+
BL what are ure thoughts on the game line, after looking over the numbers, this line seems extremely high to me, I was thinking 12, CUSE numbers are inflated right now, tough laying 15.5 to a team that has a real shot at scoring in the 80s, as a PROV fan id love to get ure thought cause i fell like this is a very good spot to take the pts here, thanks

UNC and any Wisconsin backers.

This Wisconsin team which I love will miss Jon Leuer tonight more then it has all year. Mich St is all about rebounding and without Leuer under the boards I think state will have a big advantage. This game is going to be very close due to Wisconsins elevated play at home which Bo always gets out of all his teams. I agree with UNC on a no play. Wisconsin is - 2 at the moment I would pound Mich st at +3.5 small play if It goes to +3 ! That is my take on this ESPN game which we all would love to play ! LOL !

The over/under is 169 - that equates to 203 in an NBA 48-minute game.

203 is actually a HIGH O/U in an NBA game with no defense and a 24 second shot clock.

This is way too inflated.  All of you that suspect a shootout must realize that's already buried in the line + the fact that the public bets overs.

I am on the under big myself.
