Take it from a Wisconsin resident and a huge fan of the "Big Ten" the Badgers are nothing special this year, and please believe me when I tell you that Michigan St. would not hang tuff with very many of those teams that they are currently rank in the top 10 with...

If there is one team in the "Big Ten" that has Whisky's number, without question, it is Michigan St. I love the Badgers...but will not and could not defend one reason for taking them tonight...even in Madison...

As UNC mentioned...the best play on this game would be in letting the Whisky number rise and placing your wager w/ Michigan St. tonight

I borught that up earlier. essentially if you get in on a line that is significantly off from where it ends up around game time, you can bet the game in both directions with a significant area in between where you can theoretically win both bets, otherwise you just lose the juice.

Example:

In the NFL playoffs, the Packers Cardinals line was originally Packers +3 but went off at Cardinals +3. If you had bet that game from both directions, you could have had a 6 point window where you win double the money and risk virtually nothing

This doesnt appear to be the case with this game tho as the line has stuck on 169 for the time being so the 167.5 to 169 window is def not worth it. It just seemed to be climbing rather quickly last night...

Every single year Izzo has had a talented and tough squad he has made a deep run.  06' is the reason I say talented and tough - they had talent but played zero defense.

You don't think they could hang with WVU, Gtown, Duke, Purdue??

Yes, a "middle play" is when you place a bet on a total and then have the opportunity later on to bet the other side of that total and potentially win both bets, whether it be later on before the game starts or at halftime of the game.

example:  Total for a game is o/u 200 and you bet the over.  well at halftime, the total is already at 130 and the 2nd half line for the total is o/u 100.  That opens up a great "middle opportunity" for you to take the 2nd half under and potentially hit both bets if the point total is anywhere between 200 and 230.

Im not really a big fan of totals as most of you know but I have some strong trends on this one that make this really easy for me to bet.

As for totals being this high it comes down to one team not showing up offensively. A couple 2 min droughts here and there then this type of number is extremely hard to hit. In the last 11 meetings it has gone over this number once and both teams made like 24 threes and shot like 60% from the field. I will take my chances everyday of the week that these teams cant do it again.

Totals in the 160's this season are 12-5 favoring the under.

If the oddsmakers move the line up I may only add more...




Why would you lay -120???  There are way better lines out there

Thinking Syracuse, a team w Nat Champ aspirations, will see this game as a test for their defense, and that's where their emphasis will be tonite.   Believe under is the right total play, but not sure I don't like laying 15 even more  (90 something to 70 something)...

if you think that point and a half is worth the juice it is... I lose bets by a half point all the time and Im sure you do as well... you just have to pick your spots where u think the juice is worth the squeeze!
