Line does stink.  No two ways about it.  I am going to bite hook, line and sinker because sometimes....the lines are just bad and what should happens happens.

I do think that if you look at some of the comments in this thread, many people put alot of value in the crowd/atmosphere at Littlejohn.  Again, yes it gets loud and if this was an inexpereinced team on the road in ACC play, I'd be more concerned.  However, this team is very seasoned and I just can't see the crowd having much of an impact on things beyond the first part of the game maybe.  Hell they had GameDay there for the Dook game and it ended up not even being close so the crowd can only help you so much.

Good point.  Terps get some love in this forum because there are several alumni discussing them.  Likely other forums are not as Terp active.  Bookies just expecting the standard Terp lull.  I am hoping against it.  This team is showing different signs.  To paraphrase Bruce, "it's no sin to be hope your team is for real".

I think the "mystique" of Littlejohn ( a few high profile upsets the last few years) has alot to do with it.  Also, Booker is 34 years old and has been there for ten years so everyone knows who he is and how he dominates inside.  Both of those factors have something to do with the love they get.

Few people talk about the dive Clemson takes every season, the one dimensional nature of this year's team, the loss of Stitt and the intangibles that he brings, etc.

Devin Booker is a ? now for Clemson after breaking his nose on Friday.. I still think Clemson will pull away late for a 5-7 point win they have owned Maryland at home the past few years...

If Clemson pulls away late they will have to do it from the foul line.  Depending on the score, Gary will start fouling at any time late in the game.  "Late" can be w/ 5 minutes left.  Clemson will need to improve upon the 64% from the stripe.

Yes I am a homer on this one, but Clemson will come out fighting for this game.  They must win this crucial home game to stay in the hunt in conference.  I am not laying the 5 my local is posting, but I think Clemson wins a close one.

My line has Maryland winning by 2.  What is worrrisome to be the line immediatly jumped to 5 with most siding with Maryland with the early line.  The hostility of the atmosphere and full court pressure by Clemson will produce turnovers for Maryland. This will utimately be the deciding factor in this game.  This games remindes me of what happened to UNC, which Clemson distrupt their offense and they started rushing passes and produced 26 turnovers. It doesn't help Clemson ranks second in Conf in steals.  I hope Clemson does not come out firing in an effort to stop their slide at home.  I'm on the fence on this one.

Comparing UNC guards to Terp guards is not possible.  UNC is very young and inexperienced at guard at the Terps are tops in the ACC.  What happened to UNC has nothing to do with how GV, Hayes and Mosley will handle things.

Since so much of the conversation is centering around Booker, what happens IF he gets into early foul trouble?  Not saying foul trouble for a GV, Milbourne or Mosely would not be a big deal for the Terps but less of a deal than Booker having to sit would be.

That's what happened against FSU when we played them.  Alibababa was sitting very early on.
