    I'm done with this thread.

Can't teach people who won't listen.

We'll see in about 7 hours what's gonna happen

Best believe, I'll be back to talk more shit tonight though when UNC fails to score 75.

Badlands... who do you like as PC coach?   I'd love to get Martelli, like its rumored right now.

Oh and badlands... read this article

    https://www.projo.com/sports/billreynolds/sp_bkc_rencol27_03-27-08_719HERH_v6.8547c4.html

This would make me sick.  No way PC can succeed running the Princeton offense; not with Georgetown running the same one, but better.

laverty also makes another good point wash st is looked at as a defense only team while they are not bad on offense.  and ill, im simply stating that uncs regular season IS diminished by the fact that their conference was weaker then originally thought.  plus, youre always going to be paying a premium price for a big name like unc once you get this late in the tournament.  if you think they are head and shoulders above wash st, then you should take unc.  if you think they are even close at all in comparision then take the points, its that simple.

That's cool - come back in 7 hours and be result-oriented.

I could've guessed you're one of those guys who runs his mouth in a thread then comes back and brags if his prediction was right.

Again, we are discussing different angles of the game, as YOU should know with all of the 'sports capping experience' you have, you can't win them all.

good point - but okay will look at it your way - ACC is weaker than Pac 10..

so where would UNC be ranked in the Pac 10?  imo, they'd be the best team, at least top two.

so what has Wash St. done against the best teams in the Pac 10? they struggle, and they have yet to see an offensive like UNC's.

    just saying

North Carolina plays poor defense........that's one reason to back Washington State.

You are capping using similar logic by looking at WSU's losses.

You also said that you haven't seen WSU:  that is pretty scary if you want to throw out a big bet.

You have no business betting on this game if that is all you are looking at.  With that said let me offer you some insight from a PAC-10 fan.

I have seen WSU play about 7 times this year,  They are able to slow the pace down by taking shots late in the shot clock, they don't turn the ball over and their team D is very good.  This will frustrate UNC who, from what I have seen thrives off of turnovers and the fast break.  Put simply I don't see UNC scoring many off the break.

With that being said I think they will have trouble with Hansbourough (SP).  Love tore Baynes up.  I see Baynes getting into foul trouble trying to stop the more athletic big man.  Cowgill:  who is a gritty player, is just no equipped to stop the UNC big man.  This is where WSU is most vulerable in my opinion

I bet SC last year against UNC with a similar point spread.  USC did not cover, but they dominated the game until the last 5 minutes.  That USC team was similar to WSU and I see a similar pattern today.    I think 9 points is too many to bet in this spot.  I will make a small play on WSU but I am by no means in love with this line.

the across the country angle is also way overrated in this game.  wash st knew they would be at charlotte since saturday and havent played since then.  also this game is at night not noon like gonzaga so it will be like an afternoon game to them. there will also be plenty of louisville tennessee fans that will no doubt be supporting wash st if they can hang around.

Wazzu = better defense, weak offense, weak coach

UNC = way better offense, ok defense, awesome coach, playing @ "home", way more experience in tourney action, and Michael Jordan, and James Worthy alma mater!!!!

    GO HEELS!!!

just giving out my pros and cons of this really interesting debate.

Wazzu will slow this game to a crawl, just like they always do.  Every D rebound they get, Bennet puts up both arms signaling to walk it up.  UNC is very talented, but playing at a snails pace tends to frustrate high octane clubs like them.  I think this will come down to the last couple minutes and only will be a blow out if Hansborough gets every fricking call and the Cougs get in bad foul trouble.  Getting 8.5 pts in a grinder type game is very tempting....

Wetlands-  I admit it man, this tourney has been a fucking disaster for me.  I may be hitting at a 10% clip right now.....just pathetic.  It generally turns around though and I do believe that Wazzu will dictate tempo in this game.  Always easier to slow a game down than speed it up.  With that being said, just fade me and win big money right now

    What?

I said that UNC would not score 75.  I was right, no?

"Best believe, I'll be back to talk more shit tonight though when UNC fails to score 75"

I won 2 of my 3 bets for the game:

UNC team total under 75 -115
    UNC/Washington State Under 141 -110
    Washington State +8.5

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you said it was a given that UNC would score there usual 90.
