    $$$$ play....NHL NJ vs TOR   Under 5

Been a Leaf fan my entire life and I have watched just about every Toronto game this year and the past years. Toronto simply does not have the talent to score in bunches. But they do have Reimer who sits second in save percentage (0.932) and 9th in goals against. Injury to JVR gives Toronto even less offense.

NJ starts C Schneider who sits 6th in save percentage (0.929) and 3rd in goals against. He has a 1.64 GAA against TOR in last 7 games. Injury to Cammeleri takes away some offense for the devils.

Under is 20-3-3 in last 26 meetings.

NJ doesn't light it up ranks 29th in goals for and 4th in goals against. I see both teams struggling to score in this one.

Two high percentage goalies who I feel wont see a lot of shots on net keep this one under.

    $$$$ record 1-0

Hey silversilver.  You win the Heartbreaker $$$$ Beat Award for last night.  That was a terrible one.  Think you had it right and just got totally reamed in the last 90 seconds.  Hang in there......

The dollar signs in the title are doing the opposite of what you want.  Meaning they're not drawing attention, they make your thread get skimmed over.  A lot of people do the dollar sign thing so we become numb to it, so your title blends in.  I'd go with.....Holmeys MONEY Thread.  And yes I would purposely capitalize money.

Thanks for the idea, j-walk.  Covers told me to eliminate the word LOCK from all my threads, so I decided to call them $$$$ PLAYS rather than LOCKS.  I am going to stick with this for a little while, but, yes, you're right that using the cash symbol does not separate the thread well at all.  Its a work in progress and we'll see how it goes.  Thanks!

Has anyone anything online that would help explain why the USC line has dropped -5.5 to -4? It doesn't make sense to me unless there was a report of an injury illness.

What makes me nervous is that the line movement in the USC game is eerily reminiscent of the line movement yesterday against UW.  That made no sense to me and then I watched the best player in the Pac-12 play entire regulation looking like he was purposely throwing the game.  I am not a "this game is fixed guy", but had Andrews not woken the F up in OT last night, I would have had no option but to believe that he threw that game.  The guy leads the Pac-12 in scoring and he had 0 FG's and 4 turnovers in regulation.  He even stepped into the lane on a FT (it looked COMEPLETELY on purpose) that cost his team a point.

Anyone see ANYTHING about a USC injury or illness?  Thanks......

    Holmey~

Exactly, bro! I had the exact, same thought that you did.

This line move tells me that perhaps taking the plus points on UCLA in the 1st H might be the play, as it all too often happens with the dog jumping out into a big lead early in the game.

Don't over think this stuff Mr. Holmes...

*isn't that one of the tricks 'books' use to stop a blitz on a specific number... employing reverse line movement to make big $$$ stop n' stare long enough so that they miss what they came into the shop for...

    Hope this helps

Hey BTW this game you got on here is absolutely delicious!

silver silver's take on GeoMason/Richmond total Under 149 yesterday was dead on handicapping...What happened at the end of the game was crazy.

    Regards,

Ford is questionable.. no updates. Even with him playing I still like W&M. If he is ruled out before tip I expect the line to hit -3.

Thanks, 23.  Interesting take.  Its funny that the UW number inexplicably dropped at around the same time yesterday.  About 15 minutes later, Dickerson (UW's center) was listed as questionable, but I never thought he wasn't going to play.  Still, at least that made a little sense.  Still looking for an injury out of USC"s camp, but haven't seen one yet.  If either of USC's PG's were unable to play (McLaughlin & Jacobs), it would GREATLY affect the game.  Other than those two, USC has so much depth that they should be able to overcome any other injury.

    Thanks for the insight.....

I'm thinking the same thing for the IPFW/South Dakota game. I woke up this morning to see the line went from IPFW +1 to +2.5. The line change reminded of the IPFW/Neb Omaha game from Jan 16th. The total opened at 166 so I bet it over and eventually it went down to 162. I was shocked so I bet it again. The game finished at 106-101 in OT but it was 92-92 at regulation.

    Best to all.

It was unreal. Thought it was a lock with a minute left.. 9 point deficit, shouldn't be much backdoor action as GM pulls away. Well, 19 points within the final 50 seconds and boom - LOSS.

BTW - even with Quincy Ford playing, I have NE/W&M capped at W&M -3.

PLEASE post your $$$$ PLAY even if it has already been posted, wgomel.  Everyone's insight and everyone's plays can all add up to a confident tail by anyone reading the thread.  When we start getting a lot of $$$$ PLAYS, we will start getting CONSENSUS PLAYS, where there are 4 or more $$$$'s on one team.  I encourage EVERYONE to post your $$$$ PLAY, regardless of what anyone else previously posted.  Duplicates are not a bad thing here......

I am looking for more up to the minute information on the IPFW vs South Dakota match up?  IPFW is now +3 in my book.  When I capped this game I had it at IPFW -2.  Kenpom has it -3 IPFW and Sagarin has it at -2 IPFW.  If you could provide any relevant news I would be delighted. Thanks in advance.

Schneider will not play tonight against the Leafs, instead it is K Kincaid. I still feel this is a $$$$ play based on the leafs inability to score. Averaging 1.4 goals per game last 10.

    $$$$$$ IPFW +3

After scrounging around the internet to include IPFW twitter feed, IPFW blogs, Indiana basketball blogs I couldn't find anything but the already known which is IPFWs leading scorer, Mo Evans, is academically ineligible.  (https://www.journalgazette.net/sports/colleges/local-colleges/Mastodons-handling-adversity-11248772)

As much as this sounds like a big deal it really isn't.  IPFW has won 4 of their last 5 without Evans. Landis, Konchar and Reed have really picked up the slack and shown they can shoot the rock.  That one loss was a 2 pt drop to an IUPUI team that has really put it together in conference play.  IPFW is well aware that they are in a 3 way tie atop the conference and there is no room for a loss.  They will come out ready to play in this first of a 2 game road trip.
IPFW will get their best starting  record in school history (19-6) with a STRAIGHT UP win tonight but heck go ahead and give me 3 points just in case:):):):)
