Austin Peay on the 9th game of an 9 game road trip, where previous two games featured teams who play no defense. I have EIU at #3 in the OVC and AP at #4. Couldn't pass up points at home. EIU was a -1.5 point favorite in this spot last year at home and they were only a +6 dog on the road. Peay lost a bit, EIU didn't really lose anything, and I believe they have the better backcourt and PG in Laser and Granger, who put up a combined 42 in this spot last year. Peay has shown spots in the trip that they're fatigued as they allowed SEMO to come back from a big deficit the other night. Statement game for Eastern.

Definitely was an angle I looked at but Loyola CHI was starting majority of freshman at the time. I still factored it in, but I believe Valpo has an advantage in the paint and a more all-around squad.

Last year's game was lined at 156.5 and went over in regulation. I would say 152-156 is probably a fair # for that game, but you're going to have to rely on Tech to score if it's a blowout. Even though it's Tech, I probably can't trust Washington's defense to stop em. I stayed away from both.
As for MSU, I would never lay -26 in a game, but that's just me personally. And there was no way I was taking Bowling Green as a big dog with MSU coming off a loss. Big step down for MSU in terms of motivation after playing Duke on national TV, then a matchup with Syracuse on Tuesday.

Illini got out there plenty early, so I don't see travel West being an issue. Do worry about slight letdown after playing UNC, but that's about it. Should be a good game. First hostile environment they'll go into and technically first road game (WMU gym was empty due to break). I think Illinois wins, but I'm not touching it. Rule #1, don't bet on or against my squad.

Like James Madison too, just saw a few other spots I liked better. Georgia State is still a bit unknown to me.They are extremely talented. The lone returner is Johnson (who played on scholarship at both Tennessee and NC State). But they also brought in Brandon McGee who played at Indiana and Auburn, and Daunte Curry, who played at South Florida. All three were top 100 recruits coming out of high school. None of them have developed any chemistry yet, and last year GSU was known for pressure defense and crashing the offensive glass. They really haven't done either this year so I'm not sure if that's a sign of changing times or what. I couldn't lay the four on the road in this spot.
