Opening line

Florida State +11.5, Over/Under 61.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 7 P.M. ET SATURDAY: North Carolina moved from -12 to -13.5 at BetMGM Nevada, but there's two-way action on this contest. "We need Florida State for a small amount," BetMGM's Jeff Stoneback said. "Even though ticket count is 2/1 on North Carolina, money is really close, like 55/45." Stoneback said the book also needs the Under, with the total up to 65.5 and a 7/1 ticket count on the Over.

UPDATE 4:15 P.M. ET SATURDAY: At DraftKings, North Carolina opened -10, stretched to -14 and is currently -13.5. The Tar Heels are taking 69 percent of tickets and 81 percent of money on the spread. ---

Why the line moved

UPDATE 3:20 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Just ahead of kickoff, Texas A&M is at -5, after opening at -6.5 and dropping as low as -4 at The SuperBook at Westgate. "We're seeing big public money on A&M and the Over," SuperBook oddsmaker/manager Eric Osterman said. "We've got Aggies bets on the spread and the moneyline. This is going to be one of our bigger decisions of the day." The total saw early sharp play on Over 54, and the public followed in pushing the total up to 56.5.

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET FRIDAY: This number bounced around a bit at FanDuel, from Texas A&M -5.5 to -6.5, then down to -4.5 before returning to -5.5 Friday. The Aggies are drawing 60 percent of tickets/65 percent of money.

---

Coming off its upset win over Florida, Texas A&M moved from -5.5 to -6.5 early at FanDuel, but there's definitely interest in coach Mike Leach and Mississippi State. Opening line

Notre Dame -16, Over/Under 63.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Notre Dame moved from -16 to -17.5 at PointsBet USA, but by this morning was back to -16.5. "Very interesting early story in terms of splits in this game," PointsBet's Patrick Eichner said. "We are currently seeing 73 percent of spread bets come in on the Notre Dame side, but 67 percent of the money come in on the Louisville side. It will be interesting to see how this shapes up as we have more action come in closer to kickoff."

---

Notre Dame was already up 1.5 points to 17.5 by Monday evening at FanDuel, getting 69 percent of tickets, but money is closer to two-way play. The Fighting Irish were landing 56 percent of early spread money The total is already up a point to 64.5, with ticket count running 2/1 and 71 percent of money on the Over.

Opening line

Florida -9.5, Over/Under 69.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: The SEC announced today that this game is postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak among Florida players. The game will be played Dec. 12.

---

Both these teams are coming off upset road losses, Florida to Texas A&M and LSU to Missouri. This line was another big early mover at FanDuel, with the Gators bolting all the way out to -15 before dialing down to -12.5 Monday night. Point-spread ticket count was dead even through Monday, but the underdog Tigers were drawing 68 percent of early dollars. The total leapt from 69.5 Sunday night to 73.5 Monday afternoon, with the Over grabbing 84 percent of tickets/92 percent of money.

Opening line

Alabama -7.5, Over/Under 56.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 7 P.M. ET SATURDAY: The Game of the Day has Alabama back up to -6 at BetMGM Nevada, after bouncing around this week from -4.5 to -6.5, then back to -4.5 on Nick Saban's positive COVID test midweek. But again, Saban has now been cleared to coach tonight, and the Crimson Tide are laying 6. "It's almost a 2/1 ticket count on Alabama, and money is almost 4/1 Alabama," BetMGM Nevada's Jeff Stoneback said, adding that 'Bama is also taking a lot of parlay/teaser/moneyline parlay play. But with moneyline play on Georgia, the book is rooting for an Alabama win and Georgia cover. The book also needs the Over, with some late sharp play taking the total from 58.5 to 57, though the number then rebounded to 58.

UPDATE 4:15 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Earlier today, it was announced that Alabama coach Nick Saban will coach tonight against Georgia, after he had three negative COVID tests. The Crimson Tide opened -5 and got to -6.5 before news of Saban's positive test and the expectation that he wouldn't be on the sideline tonight. The line quickly dropped to -4, but has crept up since to as high as -6.5 this morning, before ticking back to -6. Tickets are running 3/1 and money 4/1 on Alabama. The total moved from 56 to 59 early in the week, rolled back to 56.5, then made it's way back to 59 before dipping to 58.5 this afternoon. Tickets and money are both running about 4/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 10 A.M. ET SATURDAY: Alabama bounced from -4.5 to -6, down to -4 on the Nick Saban news and is now at -5. Ticket count is still about 2/1 on the Crimson Tide, and 71 percent of spread money is on 'Bama today. There's more consensus on the Over, with 81 percent of bets/88 percent of money, as the total rose from 56.5 to 58.5.

UPDATE 5 P.M. FRIDAY: BetMGM opened Alabama -5 and got to -6.5 early Wednesday, before the news of coach Nick Saban's COVID diagnosis, which helped take the line down to -4.5, where it remains now. Alabama remains a very popular bet, perhaps even more so on Friday's news that Saban now has two negative COVID tests, and if there's a third, he could coach Saturday. Alabama has both the highest percentage of tickets and highest percentage of handle among all teams on this week's college football schedule. Interestingly, Georgia has the second-highest percentage of tickets, though the Bulldogs are not in the top five on handle percentage.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: The Crimson Tide opened -5 and got to -6.5 Tuesday night at DraftKings. However, the number plunged straight from -6.5 to -4 early Wednesday night, on the news of coach Nick Saban's positive COVID test. The line remains at 'Bama -4 today, with 62 percent of bets/79 percent of money on the Tide.

UPDATE 6:30 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Alabama coach Nick Saban tested positive for COVID-19 Wednesday and is self-isolating at home while awaiting results of a second test. Oddsmakers already made a move, with The SuperBook initially going from Crimson Tide -6 to -5, then minutes later to -4, with the expectation that Saban won't be coaching Saturday night. It's a move unique to this specific coach. "I don't think any other coach would move the line that much," SuperBook manager/oddsmaker Eric Osterman said. "Maybe Jim Harbaugh, but I think Saban is in a class of his own on that."

UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: PointsBet USA's Patrick Eichner said Alabama opened -5 and dipped to -4.5 early Monday, but quickly went back to -5 and then on to -6 Monday afternoon. "We're currently seeing 61 percent of spread bets and 78 percent of handle on Alabama," Eichner said. The total went on a little early-week ride, from 56.5 to 59, then back down to 56.5. "It's very early in the week, but we are currently seeing 86 percent of bets and 83 percent of handle coming in on the Over."

---

It's the Game of the Day, no question, so it's rightly a prime-time matchup. The Crimson Tide went from -7.5 to -6.5 right away Sunday afternoon and actually dropped to -4.5 Sunday night at FanDuel, then crept back to -6.5 Monday.
