The Ottawa Redblacks head to Hamilton Stadium to take on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Saturday night.

Ottawa's offense has been efficient with Dru Brown under center, and my Redblacks vs. Tiger-Cats predictions are betting on a productive night from that attack.

Here are my best free CFL picks for this Week 6 clash on July 12.

Redblacks vs Tiger-Cats prediction

My Redblacks vs Tiger-Cats pick: Redblacks team total Over 24.5 (-110 at BET99)

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have been getting torched on defense.

In their season opener, Calgary gashed them for 428 yards and 38 points, and the following week they gave up 416 yards and 28 points to Saskatchewan.

They came off their bye to put together a strong defensive performance against Montreal's backup quarterback in Week 4. But they regressed last week, surrendering 38 points to the Argos with another backup QB in Nick Arbuckle throwing for 339 yards.

Meanwhile, the Ottawa Redblacks had their own starting QB Dru Brown return to the lineup last week after a three-game absence. Although they came up short, they put up 33 points with Brown throwing for 316 yards and two scores.

That was Brown's first game since Week 1, when he completed 34 of 41 passes for 413 yards against Saskatchewan. Brown was highly productive in his first year as a starter last season, throwing for 3,959 yards despite missing three full games and large parts of three others.

Reliable RT Zack Pelehos will also make his season debut after recovering from a foot injury. That will be a big boost for this O-line since his replacement (the recently released Darta Lee) had been a turnstile.

With Brown surrounded by a bevy of talented receivers in Geno Lewis, Justin Hardy, and Kalil Pimpleton, back Ottawa to eclipse its modest team total of 24.5.

Redblacks vs Tiger-Cats same-game parlay (SGP)

Redblacks team total Over 24.5

Tiger-Cats moneyline

Money has come in on the Ticats, moving the spread from -4.5 to -5.5. Even if they allow the Redblacks to eclipse their team total, the Tabbies still have a good chance of winning at home.

After all, Ottawa is just 1-4 SU and ATS and ranks second-last in the CFL in yards allowed per play (7.40). Bo Levi Mitchell and an explosive aerial attack should be able to take advantage of that vulnerable secondary.

The Ticats are -250 on the ML, but parlaying them with the Over on Ottawa's team total results in a nice multiplier due to the non-correlated nature of this SGP.
