Everyone’s chasing those iconic “Only in Vegas” experiences when they visit Sin City. These moments range from extravagant to mundane, and some of the most memorable are the simple things that happen during a trip which feel unique to Las Vegas.
While we can make a checklist of distinctive Vegas adventures, the best are those that happen organically while enjoying all this city has to offer.
Here are some of the best ways to create your own wild, one-of-a-kind Vegas experiences:
Visit the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign 📸
Almost all visitors make a visit to the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign on Las Vegas Blvd. near Mandalay Bay to take pics and vids.
It’s kind of a rite of passage for anyone new to Las Vegas. While it’s very basic, this is the only place you’ll see the original sign.

Play a slot machine at the airport 🎰
The first “Only in Vegas” experience happens the moment you land — or, the last experience occurs just before you leave. Your choice.
At Harry Reid International Airport, hundreds of slot machines are scattered throughout, letting visitors kick off or wrap up their Vegas trip with a little luck.
Sure, these airport machines generally have worse payouts than those on the Strip, but where else can you gamble in the middle of an airport?
Smell the flowers and watch the dancing water 🌸
Bellagio is home to two of the most popular free attractions in Vegas.
From our fountains to your hearts, may this year bring you new beginnings, endless possibilities, and unforgettable experiences.

First, you can catch the iconic fountain show right from the Strip. You don’t even have to walk inside the casino for this. Once you do go inside, take a quick stroll past the lobby and step into the stunning botanical gardens.
Both of these experiences never get old, no matter how many times you see them.
Play blackjack in a swimming pool 🃏
Several Vegas casinos offer outdoor gambling, but only Caesars Palace lets you play blackjack from inside the pool.
The Fortuna Pool features covered tables open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Yes, the games pay 6:5 for a natural blackjack, but it’s a price many are willing to pay for the novelty of gambling inside a pool.
Go inside a slot machine, then fly like superman 🦸
SlotZilla at the Fremont Street Experience is more than just a zipline — it’s truly an “Only in Vegas” zipline.
You can ride feet first (fine) or go full Superman and fly headfirst (awesome) beneath the massive Viva Vision canopy.
Other ziplines exist in town, but none launch you out of a giant slot machine and send you soaring over a packed casino mall. It’s weird, wild, and completely Vegas.

Dine atop the Eiffel Tower 🥂
You can’t eat inside the real Eiffel Tower, but you can dine in Vegas' reasonable facsimile.
Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris Las Vegas sits 100 feet above the Strip and serves classic French cuisine with unbeatable views of the Bellagio Fountains.
Brunch here is a particularly memorable treat if you don’t mind heights with your champagne.
Get cake, pizza, Champagne, and cupcakes from a vending machine 🍰
Vegas has a slew of next-level vending machines for quick eats and drinks.
Cake Boss vending machines at casinos like Harrah’s and The Venetian dispense cake or pizza.
Sprinkles has a cupcake ATM at Fashion Show Mall across from Wynn, The Venetian and Treasure Island.
Lastly, you’ll find a Moët & Chandon vending machine for champagne-on-demand at the Waldorf Astoria. Sweets and booze, no human required.
Go for a ride at a casino 🎢
Only in Vegas can you find rides inside, outside, and on top of casinos.
New York-New York’s roller coaster winds through the property and even offers a peek of the Strip. The Strat has a few thrill rides dangling off its rooftop for the adrenaline junkies.
For something tamer, families can hit the Adventuredome at Circus Circus for a throwback indoor amusement park. The gondola boat rides at The Venetian are fit for families and is an experience you won’t find at any other casino in North America.
Lastly, adults might want to ride the High Roller at The LINQ during happy hour, where the drinks flow along with the views.
Learn about the history of the Mob 🕵️
The Mob Museum in downtown Las Vegas is a surprise favorite for many visitors.
Experience the rhythm of downtown Las Vegas with live music in our outdoor event plaza this April! From jazz to Latin beats and vintage lounge, our lineup features an exciting mix of talented performers bringing high-energy performances and feel-good vibes.

This isn’t Vegasy-kitsch. It’s a serious, well-curated museum full of real artifacts, interactive exhibits, and balanced storytelling that can take hours to experience.
After diving into mob history, head to The Underground bar in the basement for classic Prohibition-era cocktails.
Get your mind blown at Sphere 🧠
The Sphere, located behind The Venetian, is the most technologically advanced entertainment venue in the world.
It features a wraparound 16K screen — the highest-resolution LED display ever created — and over 167,000 individually amplified speakers.
Concerts are designed specifically for this venue, making them experiences that simply can’t be recreated elsewhere.

Play Sigma Derby at The D 🐎
The D Las Vegas is home to the last working Sigma Derby game in the country.
This mechanical horse racing game from the 1980s still runs on quarters, available from the casino cashier.
It’s a social, nostalgic, and uniquely Vegas experience.
Planning a trip to Las Vegas and want to make the most of your time in Sin City? It's a good idea to do your research before you arrive, so we've created a series of guides to help maximise your bankroll:
Take some swings — and a dip — at Topgolf ⛳
Topgolf Las Vegas at MGM Grand is the company’s flagship — and it shows.
In addition to the golf games, there are five bars (including one with video poker), two pools, and rooftop views of the Strip. For business travelers, meeting rooms open into hitting bays, making for the perfect work/play combo.

If you’re a golfer, you might want to check out Swingers at Mandalay Bay. This is an unserious adult mini-golf course inside an old nightclub. It’s a vibe.
Have a robot make you a drink 🤖
At Tipsy Robot inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, you can order a cocktail at a touchscreen kiosk and watch robotic arms mix your drink.
Unfortunately, the robots are just arms and not mechanical people like we see in the movies, making drinks.
Regardless, it’s one of the few places where machines are literally making the drinks.
Experience Stadium Swim 🏊
Sports betting is legal throughout North America, but there’s no experience to watch your wagers like at Stadium Swim anywhere in the world.
The 21+ rooftop pool complex is unlike any other pool experience in Las Vegas.
As a founding partner of the @CBBCrown, we’re fired up to watch 16 teams battle it out in Vegas for the first-ever title. High stakes, big plays, and even bigger bets...just the way we like it. Let’s crown a champ! 🏆🏀 #ForTheCrown #CircaLasVegas #StadiumSwim pic.twitter.com/ZWdiLN2sqW

At least one of the six temperature-controlled pools is heated and open all year round for those looking to take a dip. During the summer, there are two swim-up bars and a small shaded gaming area with blackjack.
The showstopper at Stadium Swim is the massive 143-foot LED screen that shows sports all year round. There’s a kiosk at the pool for wagering, or you can fund an app in the huge indoor sportsbook in the casino.
Get hitched in a casino or at a drive-thru chapel 💍
Many Las Vegas casinos are equipped to host traditional weddings.
It’s a fantastic perk if you and your significant other want to create a truly special Vegas memory, surrounded by your friends and family.
If you’re looking for a very different wedding, you can pick up a marriage license when you get to Las Vegas and head to one of the drive-thru wedding chapels.
The whole process takes around 10 minutes, and packages cost around $100 for an experience you’ll never forget.
