Will Indiana have real money online casinos in 2026?
Even though sports betting is legal, it’s unlikely that Indiana will allow online casino operations any time soon.
After failing to pass legal IN real money online casino bills in 2024 and 2025, lawmakers have focused on clarifying regulatory gray areas for sweepstakes casinos and prediction markets.
State Rep. Ethan Manning, who introduced the latest IN online casino bill, has also led the charge against sweepstakes sites and prediction markets.
Now that sweeps casinos are effectively shut down as of July 1, legaislators should turn their attention to real money online casinos in Indiana.
Even then, it will likely be 2027 at the earliest before real money online casinos go live.
Do Indiana voters support legalizing real money online casinos?
According to a 2025 poll from the National Association Against iGaming, 67% of voters are "against" legal online casinos in Indiana.
Take that for what you will, given the source of the poll is an organization that proclaims itself "against iGaming."
The poll also found that 58% specifically opposed legalization that would allow “24-hour access to slot machines and casino table games from any phone or mobile device.”
