Wednesday’s WNBA slate has just two games on tap, but they offer plenty of appeal.
The Connecticut Sun and Dallas Wings have both been eliminated from playoff contention, but both teams have shown significant fight over the last two weeks. The Las Vegas Aces visit the Atlanta Dream riding an 11-game win streak in a battle of heavyweight contenders.
Read on to see why my WNBA picks are all-in on a scoring prop for a Dallas player not named Paige Bueckers, and much more for August 27.
WNBA player prop bets for August 27
Siegrist o14.5 pts (-113)
Howard o4.5 asts (+130)
Wilson o37.5 PRA (-130)
Maddie Siegrist Over 14.5 points
Maddie Siegrist’s scoring line is my favorite prop of the night. Arike Ogunbowale’s extended absence will continue, and Paige Bueckers is questionable with an illness after missing Tuesday’s practice.
Over the last six games with Ogunbowale on the sideline, Siegrist has started each contest and averaged 16.8 points. In that span, she’s scored at least 15 points four times, scoring no fewer than 12 points in any of them. That includes two of three games at home.
Facing one of the W’s worst defenses at home and with potentially more scoring opportunities available if Bueckers sits, I fully expect Siegrist to cruise past this scoring line.

Rhyne Howard Over 4.5 assists
Jordin Canada will be out again tonight, which means Rhyne Howard should continue to handle primary playmaking duties.
Howard is averaging a career-best 4.5 assists per game on the season, but she’s upped that to 4.8 across the last six with Canada sidelined.
She’s reached that mark in 13 of 25 starts this season, including a six-assist performance against the Aces on August 19.
Las Vegas allows the fifth-most assists per game to opponents, making this an even more favorable prop.

A’ja Wilson Over 37.5 points + rebounds + assists
A'ja Wilson has been absolutely dominant over the Aces’ 11-game win streak, averaging 41.4 PRA and hitting the Over on this combo line six times. She posted exactly 37 PRA in two more games during that span.
Wilson has averaged 41.1 PRA across her last four road games, and she produced 38 or more PRA twice with one game of 37.
Despite boasting a solid defense, Atlanta has been crushed by Wilson in two matchups this season. She finished with 48 and 41 PRA in those two contests, and I expect her to have another strong showing tonight with the No. 2 seed fully up for grabs.
