There’s a spotlight on the back of the playoff pack in tonight’s WNBA double-header, and every win is precious with the postseason coming into view.
The Seattle Storm have hit back from a recent slump with three straight victories, and tonight they’ll face an Indiana Fever team that’s clinging to the No. 8 seed despite Caitlin Clark’s continued absence.
My WNBA picks and player props for August 26 target that matchup and the late tip between the Los Angeles Sparks and Phoenix Mercury.

Diggins Over 5.5 assists (-125)
Thomas Over 33.5 points + rebounds + assists (-105)
Hamby Over 7.5 rebounds (+102)
Skylar Diggins Over 5.5 assists
The Seattle Storm needed some Nneka Ogwumike magic to outlast the Washington Mystics on Sunday, but Skylar Diggins had her fingerprints all over that win too with her ability to set up her teammates.
Diggins dished 11 dimes against Washington, and I like the Over on this 5.5 assists line here against the depleted Indiana Fever.
She’s gone past this number in eight of her last 12 contests, and the Seattle offense has breezed past the 90-point mark in two of their last three outings. If that trend holds, there will be plenty of dimes to go around.
The Fever are short on backcourt stoppers, so watch for Diggins to pull the strings and keep the Storm’s win streak on track.

Alyssa Thomas Over 33.5 points + rebounds + assists
Alyssa Thomas has been at her stat-stuffing best lately. Fresh off her sixth triple-double of the year, she’s poised for another do-it-all effort tonight.
Give me the Over on this combo prop, with Thomas getting past this number in three of her last four contests. She’s grabbed 9+ rebounds in four straight games and scored 15+ points in five of her past seven outings.
The Phoenix Mercury will need Thomas’ A-game here against the Los Angeles Sparks, but L.A.’s up tempo style fits well with this Over, translating to extra rebounds and fast-break opportunities.
Thomas hasn’t faced the Sparks since early in the season, but I expect her to make her mark all over the box score, just as she did with a 13-12-16 line on Friday against the Golden State Valkyries.

Dearica Hamby Over 7.5 rebounds
The Los Angeles Sparks aren’t likely to beat many teams with their defense this season, but that doesn’t mean Dearica Hamby and Azura Stevens aren’t worthy prop targets tonight against the Phoenix Mercury.
Hamby has been especially effective on the glass lately, finishing with 8+ rebounds in three of her last four contests, including nine boards last week against the Dallas Wings, and I’m wagering on a similar number here at a favorable price.
She had eight rebounds against the Mercury in a June clash, and there’s real urgency tonight for the Sparks as they try to climb into a playoff spot. It also helps that L.A. is fresh, having not played since last Wednesday.
The head-to-head battle between Hamby and Thomas could decide this showdown, and I’m picking both stars to shine.
