The battle for WNBA playoff spots is heating up as we head towards July, while the Connecticut Sun are currently winning the race to the bottom.

Connecticut has dropped eight in a row to slip to 2-14, and today’s clash with the Minnesota Lynx isn’t likely to help matters there. That’s a matchup I’ve bookmarked for my favorite WNBA player props.

There’s plenty more to choose from in the five-game June 29 slate, and my Top 3 WNBA picks include wagers on two dynamic guards.

  • Sky Reese o12.5 rebs (-115)
  • Aces Gray o17.5 pts + asts (-106)
  • Lynx Williams o13.5 pts (-106)

Today's best WNBA player props bets

Angel Reese Over 12.5 rebounds (-115 at DraftKings)

The Chicago Sky face the Los Angeles Sparks this afternoon for the second time this week, and I’m going back to the well with the Over on the Angel Reese rebounds prop, which was a winner for me on Friday against the Golden State Valkyries.

The O/U line has shifted from 11.5 to 12.5, but it still doesn’t reflect Reese’s work on the glass across her last three outings, with rebounding tallies of 18, 17 and 19 while making life miserable for defenses.

She racked up 17 boards against the Sparks on Tuesday, and there’s a nice floor for this prop given that Reese has ended up with 10+ rebounds in each of the past six outings where she’s played at least 30 minutes.

Her battle with L.A.’s Dearica Hamby and Azura Stevens is the biggest subplot for today’s contest — and she’s got a lot of ground to cover in the paint, especially since Kamilla Cardoso is away with the Brazilian national team. Reese should get the lion’s share of the available defensive rebounds, and I’m predicting another huge rebounding haul here.

Chelsea Gray Over 17.5 points + assists (-106 at FanDuel)

It’s been two steps forward and two steps backward for the 7-8 Las Vegas Aces this year, and a loss to the short-handed Washington Mystics on Thursday was another low point.

But Chelsea Gray has been among the silver linings lately, hinting at the kind of consistent co-star performances that the Aces desperately need alongside A’ja Wilson. Gray is 18-for-30 from the field across her last three outings, and I like the Over on this combo prop today against the Phoenix Mercury.

While the 17.5 O/U line fits with Gray’s season averages (14.2 PPG, 4.3 APG), she’s cruised past that number in three straight contests, including 13 points and eight assists last time out.

She also nailed this Over in points alone against Phoenix earlier this month, knocking down eight of her 17 shots. As well as the Mercury are playing at the moment, they’ve given up 80+ points in each of their last three games, and the stage is set for Gray to jumpstart the Las Vegas offense today.

Courtney Williams Over 13.5 points (-106 at FanDuel)

While Napheesa Collier is putting together an MVP season, Courtney Williams continues to be the wildcard or X-factor for the Minnesota Lynx. At her best, she’s unstoppable off the dribble — but there are still moments when her shot selection is iffy and Minnesota feels vulnerable.

That said, the Lynx have to be thrilled with the version of Williams they’ve seen over the past few weeks. She’s finished with 16+ points in four of her past five contests, and the arrow is pointing up ahead of a clash with the Connecticut Sun, one of her former teams.

The Sun are allowing a league-worst 88 PPG, and I expect Williams to feast from beyond the arc, where she’s making her triples at a 39% clip this season. Minnesota enters with a 7-0 home record, and Williams is averaging 16.8 PPG across her last five games at Target Center.

She’ll also be eager to banish memories of a rough 0-for-11 effort against Connecticut back in May. Look for Williams to find a rhythm early and cash this points prop Over.
