Heading into the five-game Friday WNBA slate, it’s not hard to spot the two marquee matchups.

The Minnesota Lynx (12-2) have the best record in the league but will be tested by the feisty Atlanta Dream, while the standout late tip pits the New York Liberty against the Phoenix Mercury — and just a half-game separates those two teams in the standings.

There’s plenty of scorers on show tonight, but my WNBA player props focus on the boards, with wagers on three top-tier rebounders. Check out my Top 3 WNBA picks for the June 27 action.

Today's best WNBA player props bets

Aliyah Boston Over 8.5 rebounds (-104 at FanDuel)

Caitlin Clark is out for the Indiana Fever tonight, but count on Aliyah Boston coming ready to play. The Fever have to pick themselves up after a loss to the Los Angeles Sparks last night, and Boston is the likeliest spark to push Indy back to .500.

The consistency of her recent play jumps off the box score, rising above the various challenges thrown at the Fever through the first six weeks of the season, and I like the Over on her rebounds tally tonight.

Boston has grabbed 9+ boards in five of her last six outings, including a 10-rebound effort yesterday, and she’ll need to be around the rim here to corral a Dallas Wings team that leads the league in offensive rebounds (12 per contest).

After DeWanna Bonner’s exit, Indiana is short on frontcourt help, so look for Boston to log at least 33 minutes for a fourth straight game. That should provide ample opportunities for the third-year star to clean the glass.

Angel Reese Over 11.5 rebounds (-110 at BetMGM)

After a 3-10 start, the Chicago Sky got back in the win column on Tuesday. That was thanks in large part to Angel Reese, who delivered a 18-17-6 stat line amid a fourth-quarter charge.

I’m expecting another dominant performance tonight against the Golden State Valkyries, and this 11.5 rebounds O/U line feels a touch low for a player who’s pulled down 36 boards across her past two outings.

On the heels of 13.1 RPG in 2024, Reese continues to outwork opponents, sitting at the top of this year’s rebounding charts — and it’s not even close. She’s cleared tonight’s O/U line six times already in 2025.

It’s also worth noting that Kamilla Cardoso, Reese’s usual tag-team partner in the frontcourt, is away with the Brazilian national team. That should open the door for Chicago’s No. 5 to snag even more loose balls.

The Valkyries have frontcourt options to cycle through in this matchup, including Monique Billings and Stephanie Talbot. But, as long as Reese stays out of foul trouble, I see her feasting in the paint at both ends of the floor.

Alyssa Thomas double-double (+115 at FanDuel)

Keep an eye on the Phoenix Mercury, who’ve rattled off five straight wins, including an 89-81 victory over the New York Liberty last week. Now we get a rematch tonight at PHX Arena, and I’m counting on Alyssa Thomas to answer the call against New York's big guns.

This is a nice price for a Thomas double-double here. She’s finished with 10+ points in all 10 outings this season, and she’s a nightly threat to hit that mark in both assists and rebounds, too.

Lately, it’s been Thomas’ playmaking — 10.6 APG through her last six matchups — that’s shone through. She’s posted five double-doubles in her past six games, and only one of those has stemmed from 10+ rebounds.

That’s not to say she won’t clean the glass tonight, though. After all, Thomas had 15 boards the last time she battled the Liberty.

The Mercury haven’t played since last Saturday, and that’s a much-needed break for Thomas in her 12th WNBA season. Look for her impact to show up all over the stat sheet against the defending champs.
