We’re right back at it with another event for the second straight weekend, and the UFC 325 main card kicks off with a lightweight bout between Quillan Salkilld and Jamie Mullarkey.

UFC odds peg Salkilld as a massive -950 favorite over Mullarkey, who hits back at +550.

Below, I’ll break down the fight and provide my favorite Salkilld vs. Mullarkey predictions and free betting picks for Saturday, January 31.

Salkilld vs Mullarkey prediction and best bet

Fight analysis
There will be plenty of Australians at UFC 325 in Sydney, and the opening tilt of the main card is no exception.

Quillan Salkilld enters the bout as the big -950 favorite following a strong start to his UFC career and plenty of hype behind his name. The 26-year-old won all three of his fights last year, with two first-round knockouts against Anshul Jubli and Nasrat Haqparast.

Jamie Mullarkey has been fighting in the promotion since 2019 with mixed results, going 6-6, and each of his last four defeats coming by KO.

It’s hard to love any fighter at these odds, but it’s clear why Salkilld is the heavy favorite: He’s five years younger, still improving, and packs a heavy punch with five of his 10 pro wins coming via KO.

On the flipside, Mullarkey is very chinny and looks like just another stepping stone for the young prospect.

Best bet analysis
With Salkilld standing as such a huge favorite on the moneyline, we’ve got to look for other ways to find value in this fight.

The most likely outcome is Salkilld earns his second straight knockout, and I think we’re getting a pretty good price at -135.

If you’re looking to sweeten the pot even more, a Salkilld first-round finish is trading at +120. He's hit that prop in two of his last three fights, while Mullarkey has been finished in the first round in his last two losses.
