Georgia's defense has so struggled in first halves that there could be logic to it being by design. Whatever the cause, it is undeniable that the Bulldogs have given up 62 first-half points in their last four games and just 24 in the second halves, seven of which came on a garbage-time touchdown from Kentucky. No one should be better positioned to exploit Georgia's early defensive struggles than Lane Kiffin. Targeting Mississippi to reach 10 points first is an effort to enjoy Kiffin's script but at greater value.
