Frost has thrown as many interceptions (five) as touchdowns over his last two starts, and he will have trouble finding traction on Saturday against an Edmonton Elks defence surrendering just 24.8 points per game — the best mark in the CFL entering Week 17. Despite a road loss to Toronto last week, Edmonton had previously won four straight games by an average margin of 20.0 points. The Elks are playable on the spread to -9.5.
Cody Fajardo continues to fly under the radar as one of the league's elite quarterbacks, boasting a 106.0 passer rating in his first full season under center for Edmonton. Fajardo will pick apart a Ticats secondary that has allowed opponents to complete 70.5% of their passes this season, ahead of only Saskatchewan and Ottawa. The Elks should take a double-digit lead into halftime before leaning on the ground game to control possession and bleed the clock. I love this SGP down to +250.
