The Premier League returns this Saturday and the day is rounded off by a hugely anticipated clash between Tottenham and Liverpool at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Both teams entered the weekend in the Top 4 on the EPL able and both have shown real quality in front of goal this season.

Tottenham vs Liverpool picks and predictions
If you’d asked neutrals before the season for their most anticipated Premier League games this season, it’s unlikely that Spurs vs. Liverpool would have been at the top of their lists. But the quality of these two teams has fans and neutrals alike counting down the clock until kickoff.
What links both sides is their attacking style of play, both driven by charismatic managers who have really stamped their personalities on both of their teams. When two great attacking teams meet there are often fireworks, and I can see something similar happening on Saturday.
Firstly, there’s going to be goals. Going by the bookmaker's odds this will be one of the highest-scoring games of the weekend. Both Liverpool and Tottenham are amongst the highest-scoring teams in the league, bagging 15 goals each through just six Premier League games.
With the likes of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, and Son Heung-Min, there’s real firepower on display which is probably why backing both teams to score by itself has the tiny odds of -286, which implies a 74.1% chance of it happening.
There’s so much to love about both teams going forward but for me, the major question mark is the health of James Maddison. The English midfielder went off injured against Arsenal and is questionable for this game. So far this season he’s scored two and assisted another four and has been central to what Tottenham have achieved.
His exploitation of space, deft touches, and slick passing have proved hugely beneficial to Spurs’ attacks, and if he were to miss this game then it would seriously dent Tottenham’s ambitions of three points.
That said, I’m confident in Liverpool’s ability to kill this game off, even if Spurs are with or without Maddison. Liverpool’s biggest weakness is allowing their opponents chances — as evidenced by opponents scoring in seven of eight games this season in all competitions — but Liverpool’s lethal attack has been able to get them out of trouble.
In those eight games across three competitions, there have only been two matches in which Liverpool didn’t score three goals, with Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, and Luis Diaz all on multiple goals already this season.
Liverpool have real depth in quality in their attack which should allow to them to not only score, but take the game away from Spurs, even if their starting lineup are tiring. Back both teams to score and Liverpool to win at a tasty +215.
My best bet: Both teams to score and Liverpool to win (+215 at TonyBet)

Tottenham vs Liverpool same-game parlay
In the final leg, I’ll be backing Liverpool’s ‘Egyptian King’ Mohamed Salah to either score or assist. On three goals he’s currently tied with Nunez as Liverpool’s top scorer in the Premier League this season, but in addition to those goals he’s also assisted four more.
That means he’s averaging more than a goal or assist every single game. Those numbers are incredible and perhaps we’ve become too used to his brilliance. He’s an incredible player and should step up when his team needs him on Saturday. Pairing him to score with my best bet makes this a fantastic SGP to wager on for this EPL matchup.

Tottenham vs Liverpool side and Over/Under analysis
If you’re confident in either team winning this then you can get good value, with Spurs at +195, Liverpool at +115, or the draw at +290. I think we’ll see Liverpool winning this one but a draw at +290 could be a smart play too. With the doubts over James Maddison’s availability, I’d certainly avoid backing Spurs until you see the starting lineups and whether he will play or not.
As for goals, we should be in for an attacking treat with -294 odds on Over 2.5 goals and a huge +200 if we see Under three goals. At -294 it simply doesn’t make sense to back the Over, but at the same time, even the attractive +200 doesn’t sway me to back Under 2.5 either. When it comes to the total goals market I’d recommend sitting it out for this game.
