Saturday brings us an outstanding finale to the season as Inter Miami and the Vancouver Whitecaps face off for the 2025 MLS Cup at Chase Stadium.
The match marks not just the culmination of the campaign, but also closes the book on the careers of Barcelona and Spanish legends Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets. Sending them off with a title means Lionel Messi and Tadeo Allende must take down a strong Vancouver side led by Thomas Muller, who has won seven of his 10 career meetings against Messi while playing with Bayern Munich and Germany.
I break down why you should bet on the stars stepping up in my Inter Miami vs. Vancouver predictions and free betting picks for December 6.
Inter Miami vs Vancouver Whitecaps picks and predictions
My Inter Miami vs Vancouver Whitecaps best bet: Over 3.5 goals (+100 at Sports Interaction)
Inter Miami’s owners are one last match away from what they’ve paid so much money for. They’ve bent every single rule and greased every single palm possible to assemble the most talented roster in league history, led by perhaps the greatest footballer of all time.
It’s easy to look at Vancouver and think it’s Thomas Muller and a bunch of other players. However, back in April, Vancouver defeated Inter Miami 2-0 at home and 3-1 on the road to eliminate them from the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
Inter Miami has since splashed cash to add steel in midfield via Rodrigo de Paul. Tadeo Allende has broken out in the playoffs, scoring seven goals in his last three matches while flanking Messi. Speaking of Messi, he’s in stellar form after having a rough spell earlier this season.
Meanwhile, the addition of Muller gives Vancouver a calming presence and someone who has been in this situation many times before. His leadership and on-field ability have elevated the play of everyone on what was already a great squad. Brian White and Sebastian Berhalter have thrived while playing alongside him.
Vancouver scored a franchise-record 66 goals this season, and eight of their last nine matches have seen three or more goals. There have also been at least four goals in 11 of the last 13 contests for Inter Miami.
I’ll gladly take even money for us to reach that threshold.

Inter Miami vs Vancouver Whitecaps same-game parlay (SGP)
Allende was one of Inter Miami’s big offseason acquisitions, and he’s posted multiple goals in three straight and scored in four of his last five. It’s unlikely we get a high-scoring fixture without him being involved again.
On the other side, White bagged two of Vancouver’s three goals in the Western Conference final victory over San Diego FC. He has now managed a goal in seven of his last eight appearances for the club, and has thrived with Muller pulling the strings behind him.
White sports 20 shots on target in his last 11 matches for the club, and only Messi and Denis Bouanga have more goals than him over the past three seasons.
