My Man City vs Dortmund best bet: Man City -1 (+105 at Sports Interaction)
These teams have met four times since Pep Guardiola arrived in Manchester, with City dominating the results, winning three and drawing the fourth.
They’re both level in the Champions League table, with seven points each, but they’ve had contrasting games. City are averaging two goals a game but have given up two. Meanwhile, Dortmund’s games have been chaotic; they’re the second-highest scoring team in the competition with 12 goals, but have allowed seven goals, the most of any team in the top half of the table.
The concern for Dortmund is that they can’t afford to be weak defensively against a Man City team that's really starting to click into gear this season. In their previous five games across all competitions, they’ve scored 10 goals. Not only that, but they’ve won by 2+ goals in 80% of those games.
This City team has won by 2+ goals in two of three Champions League games and has scored two goals in every single game they’ve played in the competition. City haven’t lost a home group game in the Champions League since 2018, and with Erling Haaland having a historic season, it’s hard to see them winning this running away.

We’re adding Erling Haaland to open the scoring. He's been incredible this season, scoring 13 times in 10 Premier League games and four times in three Champions League games. There have only been two games across all competitions since the start of the season in which the Norwegian hasn’t scored, and given he’s scored 66% of City’s UCL goals this season, he’s most likely to open the scoring.
For our final leg, we’re backing City to win both halves. City have bagged two goals in the first halves of their previous two Champions League games. With City scoring a lot of early games this season, including three in the first half against Bournemouth this weekend, it’ll be good news for them that Dortmund have allowed every team they’ve faced in the Champions League this season to score at least one second-half goal.
