Canada's Homecoming tour shifts to Montréal on Saturday, where Jesse Marsch's side will try to turn another favorable matchup into a second straight victory.
Peru has struggled to generate much attacking threat throughout this cycle, while Canada still brings Jonathan David, Tajon Buchanan, Stephen Eustaquio, and Cyle Larin into a matchup it should control.
My Canada vs. Peru predictions back the hosts outright, while a different angle on the expected game script leads to my favorite plus-money combo. Here are my free betting picks for Saturday, Oct. 3.
Canada vs Peru predictions
My Canada vs Peru top pick: Canada to win (61% probability)
The gap here is less about one recent result and more about how these teams are built.
Peru scored just six goals in 18 CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers, and that lack of attacking punch puts enormous pressure on its defense every time it falls behind. Canada doesn't have that problem. David can finish chances, Buchanan can stretch Peru in transition, and Eustaquio gives Marsch a midfielder capable of controlling possession and moving the game forward.
That matters against a Peru side that would much rather defend a 0-0 than chase a match. If Canada scores first, Peru has shown very little evidence it can consistently create the chances needed to answer. At 61%, I'm backing the deeper, more dangerous team at home.

Canada vs Peru combo
Canada to win
Under 3.5 goals
2.25x at Kalshi
The combo is less about Peru's talent level and more about how I expect this match to unfold.
Canada just beat Chile 1-0 despite playing against 10 men from the 35th minute and nine shortly after halftime. That result was another reminder that Marsch's side doesn't always turn territorial dominance into a pile of goals.
Peru should only reinforce that type of game. La Bicolor is comfortable defending deep and slowing the tempo, especially if the match stays level early. The Under 3.5 gives us room for Canada to win 1-0, 2-0, or even 2-1 without needing a perfect defensive performance.
I'm expecting Canada to control most of the match, but control doesn't have to mean fireworks. Canada to win with Under 3.5 goals at 2.25x fits that script much better.
