Opposite ends of the Premier League table meet on Saturday when Brentford welcomes Manchester United to the Gtech Community Stadium. Our English Premier League odds have Manchester United favored to pick up three points on the road.

It’s been a rough spell for Brentford and a 2-1 defeat to Burnley before the recent international break leaves the Bees just five points clear of the drop zone. With just two victories from their last 17 in all competitions, Thomas Frank knows another defeat could lead to a nervy run-in for his side.

Manchester United entered the international break coming off a thrilling 4-3 comeback win over Liverpool in the FA Cup, and Erik ten Hag’s side looks to close the gap on Tottenham for fifth place and a possible Champions League spot.

With their injury list growing shorter during the break, the Red Devils will look to do the double after stealing the reverse fixture in extra time. Our Brentford vs. Manchester United free betting picks for Saturday, March 30 explains why the hosts are unlikely to get back to winning ways.

Brentford vs Manchester United best odds

EPL predictions for Brentford vs Manchester United

You almost have to feel sorry for Brentford given how vast their injury list has grown. Thomas Frank will be without eight players for this fixture, many of whom are on defense. That includes former Manchester United loanee Sergio Reguilon, as the left-back was sent off inside 10 minutes in the defeat to Burnley.

It’s one of the primary reasons the Bees have lost five of their last six matches, and why they’ve failed to keep a clean sheet during that span. It’s also a key reason why we’re backing Manchester United to walk away with a victory on Saturday.

Brentford’s played four of their last five matches away from the Gtech, and their only result in those six aforementioned fixtures was a 2-2 draw at home against Chelsea, but they were fortunate to face a team in that match that had just one recognizable forward starting and has attempted the second-fewest shots in the league over the past six matchdays.

That won’t be the case on Saturday. Manchester United have the fourth-best shot-on-target ratio in the league since the start of Matchday 25, the first of Brentford’s last six outings. While they’ve managed just six goals in their four matches in that time, they were missing Rasmus Hojlund for a large portion.

Hojlund is back and their offensive output with him in the lineup is exponentially higher. His pace on the counter, along with that of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, will cause a depleted Brentford defense real problems on the counter. It’s hard to see them not extending the Bees’ streak of matches with multiple goals conceded to five.

And oddly enough, the Red Devils have performed better away from Old Trafford this campaign than they’ve fared at home. Prior to their 3-1 defeat in the Manchester Derby, ten Hag’s side had won six straight fixtures in all competitions in away affairs, scoring 15 goals over that span.

While the Red Devils are dealing with a few injury concerns of their own in midfield, their defense is as healthy as it’s been in some time and will be bolstered by the return of Lisandro Martinez. Even though he's likely to start on the bench, he gives them a weapon to help see out the match should it be tight late in proceedings.

However, I don’t think it will be. With Scott McTominay’s added threat from midfield and the poise of young Kobbie Mainoo at the base of midfield, I’m anticipating a confident showing from a side that's showing real fight and chemistry over the past two months.

Back the Red Devils to claim all three points and enjoy the plus-money odds being offered by TonyBet for such a result.

Brentford vs Manchester United same-game parlay

Manchester United moneyline

Rasmus Hojlund anytime goalscorer

Andre Onana Over 2.5 saves

Prior to his return against Liverpool in which he was somewhat locked down by Virgil van Dijk, Hojlund had notched at least one shot on target in each of his previous eight outings, with a goal in six straight.

Brentford have conceded a goal to their opponent’s recognized striker in each of their last six matches. The Dane is great value to find the back of the net here.

On the other end, Andre Onana has been a busy man in goal for the Red Devils. He’s faced 57 shots on target in his last nine matches, saving at least three in each of those fixtures. Brentford has weapons in attack led by Ivan Toney and I see him having to make at least three stops once again with how United tends to turn the ball over in dangerous areas.

Brentford vs Manchester United side and Over/Under analysis

The Red Devils are favored away from home on the 3-way moneyline but their current price of +125 to +130 has varied over the past two weeks. It opened as high as +170 and has gone as low as +115.

There’s been no such movement for the draw, which has remained steady near +300. But Brentford is getting +185 odds to win at home, down a bit from the +210 at which it peaked.

You have to go back to February 10 to find Brentford’s last win, having taken just one point from their last six. And you have to go back another three matches to find their last win at home against a Nottingham Forest side stuck in the relegation zone. Brentford are a shell of themselves at the moment and will once again face defeat.

Be prepared to pay some hefty juice if you’re on the Over 2.5 line, with odds north of -200 on offer. You’ll have to go up to Over 3.25 on the Asian total market if you want to find anything near an even split. The Under is priced favorably with +170 available for two or fewer goals.

That said, you’re unlikely to see that result. Both of these defenses seem allergic to clean sheets and Brentford’s last seven home fixtures have seen both teams on the scoresheet. Brentford have conceded multiple goals in nine of their last 11 and have scored in 14 of their last 15. Take the Over here, but use it as a parlay leg.
