so after taking somewhat of last year off due to some personal issues, I'm looking forward to making it up this season.. I wasn't putting the necessary time into making my picks, so in turn i was throwing away money.. Back and focused now.. So here are my plays for Thursday 9/2:

Ohio State -15 (half)

Mid Tennessee State -4.5

Utah -3

Hawaii +21

you can get MTSU at - 3 at almost all shops so may want to wait on that one,,also ,,would imagine hawaii will go off at +21.5  or more by kickoff as that line has already moved from 19 to 21,,being the last game of the day on opening thursday look for that line to continue to ballon--GL buddy

Man, aint that the truth.  Could you imagine if the public got killed earlier that night?  The line might be 65 by kickoff.

i bet local though.. no online books for me.. n hawaii lines are always changing.. I should get my final spread that afternoon.. waiting for my sheets..

Are 1H lines out already? Very favorable line for OSU, I was hoping for anything under 17 or so.

Ohio State should cover that 1st half line easily.. Worried about a backdoor cover though when the 2nd string is in.. I've been playing with my local for a long time, so i can pretty much guess most of his half lines.. game is 28.5, so even if he puts it at 29.5, i'm guessing it still should be at 15.. good luck to you cherokee..

Be careful with Ohio State vs Marshall with the large line. Ohio State could be looking ahead to Miami.

thats why i'm looking at a half play.. that way i don't get backdoor covered when the 2nd stringers are in.. lol

For Saturday:

Western Michigan +21 @ Michigan State

Kentucky +3 @ Louisville

UConn +3 @ Michigan

UCLA @ Kansas State -2.5

Utah State @ Oklahoma -16 (half)

San Jose State @ Alabama -21 (half)

Northwestern -4 @ Vandy

Any thoughts? Opinions? I usually do write ups on each game.. Probably do it later this week when i'm at work.. Good Luck guys..

I'm guessing you mean UK -3, still a good pick...Sucks you couldn't catch KSU earlier when catching pts, they win anyway. Definitely a fan of NW, may wait or just buy down to 3, still a week away. I know I asked before, but are these 1H plays legit #'s, or just your guesses? Either way I like both of them, think about OSU/Marsh 1H as well. Bucks will play tough for a half, then rest for the second.

What's drawing you to WMU?  Lost 6yr starter at QB in Hiller, lost RB,  + entire DL.. lost LY to MSU 49-14.. MSU seems improved.. WMU doesn't... am I missing something??

yeah, UK -3.. typo on my part.. As for the 1st half plays, I've been betting with my local for a couple of years, so I can kinda guess where the 1H lines will be..

Michigan State had a very disappointing year last year, considering the hype they had to start the season.. Yes, WMU did lose alot of players and got smashed last year.. Playing on the road against a BCS team and only a 21 point underdog?? Sounds a bit fishy to me

Marshell @ Ohio State -28.5
Ohio State comes into the season with a number 2 ranking and as National Title favorite.. The return an excellent duel threat quarterback and should have one of the best defenses in the nation.. Ohio State plays a big non-conference game the following week against up and coming Miami (FL).. I don't think that Tressel is gonna want to risk injury to his starters, so he'll pull them rather quickly in the beginning of the 2nd half..The Ohio State starters should be able to build a nice halftime lead, but Marshell could cover in the 2nd half.. So my play for this game is Ohio State at the half (line should be around 15-16)

I agree  SNF05. Cousin's  will be better this year and the LB's will destroy WMU on defense.

I think that Bama 1st half bet is free .  No way they don't have a 3+ TD lead going into the locker room.  Aside from Bama being really good, San Jose State is that bad!!!  Great bet IMO!!!

I also like you going against the board and playing Hawaii.  My rule of never betting against Hawaii at home will keep me far away from USC.
