How often do you see them posting "contrarian plays" because a line is "too good to be true?"

it doesn't work all the time as vegas will lose on days. unlike sometime in the 90's where internet was scarces and mirage (use to be teh biggest book in vegas) went over 23 straight profitable months, u have a more balance between the books and gamblers.
if u look at this past week the top 5 heavily wagered on nfl teams were
1. pats
2. packers
3.jets
4.eagles
5.chargers/texans/ravens
if u had taken all 5 , u would have went 3-2 and cashed in on some profits. its easier obviously for the books to win cuz of the juice we all lay, but to be really successful in the long hall i think you gotta start thinking like a sportsbook and ask yourself "why is hte line set the way it is? and why is everyone so one sided with little line movement"
the opening of 6.5 on MNF and closing at nearly 9 suggests that it was not only the public on the pats, but sharps and squares as well. vegas moved this line so high up by the end to try to attract some bengles backers (like myself). its easier to look back and examine what happened, but for future bets, i think we can all benefit by looking at cases such as this one.
btw, if you guys are wondering about ncaa, vegas had its best weekend since week 11 or 12 of last year (not including bowl games).
