just a horrible gameplan goijng in. that ridiculous 3 man rush defensive gameplan to start the where they got no pressure on smith and receivers were still wide open got them down 14 points. a few lucky breaks and of course the kelce injury saved them.
and then everyone knows the chiefs run defense is bad and henry is averaging about 7 yards/carry yet they throw mariota way too many times when they should have used henry.
and as gruden correctly pointed out, that play in the first half where meters intercepted the mariota throw near the end zone when the titans were driving was mostly the fault of a terrible play call.
this was a great example of absolutely terrible coaching being bailed out by a lot of lucky (mariota passing to himself for a td, turnovers, injuries, etc).

Totally agree. Everyone complaining about Andy Reid, I was on TN (ML and spread) and I am complaining about Mularkey and co. - just cant believe what I watch in the NFL most of the time.
Does anybody understand game theory?
BTW - why did KC tackle the TN 3rd down at the end once he had the first down????? (rhetorical question... But jeez)

it's just amazing that they thought a 3 man rush would be a good idea against KC. they have the fastest receiver in the league, kelce who no one can cover, hunt who is a great runner and a good receiver and a veteran qb. why would you give smith that much time.
the 3 man rush as a regular scheme is usually terrible, but the only time it works is against a young or bad qb who might panic with 8 playes in coverage and throw an int or two. that obviously didn't come close to happening. they were down 14 before they figured it out and started rushing 4 and blitzing. and what do you know, KC couldn't move the ball except for the one drive before the half, even before kelce got hurt.
and they really didn't use henry correctly at all. he could have had 200 yards today.
yes, mularky is a sh*t coach. he got lucky today.
they'll probably be playing NE next week. they can beat NE because they have a good defense, with the right gameplan, and can hold the ball with mariota running adn throwing short passes and of course a lot of henry and murray if he's healthy.
but the coaching mismatch next week is huge. you can be sure belichik and brady will take advantage of TN's bad passing defense.
and if mularky pulls that 3 man rush nonsense against brady, he may go 50 for 50 with 6 td's.

right, classic let him score situation. maybe KC figured they'd get the stop on 3rd and long and the coaches didn't tell them to let the guy score if he got to the first down. it's not even a question that you have to let him score at that point but as we know, teams f*ck that up all of the time.
and for post #3, of course you can't fire mularkey right now. the title to the thread is hyperbole, which is the norm for me. i'm pointing out how bad the titans coaching was today, which some people seemed to not have noticed.

Wouldn't you have your defense prepared and know that you just cant let them score on that one single play? That was TD or nothing - it was going to be a FG attempt either way - just dont let them score.
So lucky.

Club... What about the TD right before HT?

belichik might give his team the week off after watching the film from that one.
although, and i'm not saying i'm taking them, depends on how big the line is, like today, but TN can beat them if they play the right game and find some pass rush.

the rams just did a 3 man rush. it wasn't terribler for two reasons. one, they mixed it in one time to throw off atlanta. it's smart to do it every now and then to mix up your defense. and two, they have aaron donald. when you have maybe the best DL in the game, you can actually get pressure on a qb with 3. i have no idea what mularkey was thinking.

yeah, i thought we were done after that one. it looked like just a fuckup by the safety. the corner played the short out pattern which everyone was expecting and the safety didn't get over nearly in time for the longer pass. it was probably a combination of bad safety play and a dumb defensive call. no way they should have scored that easily at that point either way. great call by the offense though.

I'm too drunk to remember how much time was left but these idiots should be coached to just immediately tackle all the receivers when the ball is snapped, hence wasting time and leaving them only a field goal attempt. This goes at the end of the first almost every single game. Please if just one NFL team reads this I'll give you every game scenario. I'll do it for $60,000 plus 401k
So lucky.

I'm still trying to figure out how Marriota wasn't called for an illegal pass when he was across the line of scrimmage...yes it was on that nutty batted pass back to Mariota td

one more thing. just painfully stupid. on the last drive for TN when they scored to goo up 22-21, TN is driving, henry runs for 9 yards on 1st down. 2nd and 1. the next play was that stupid WR screen to dekker which was a terrible throw, could have easily been a turnover, lost a yard and never had a chance of going anywhere. on 3rd and 2, another pass play which did work. just terrible play calling going away from henry late in the game against a bad run defense.
if TN does stupid garbage like this again, they'll get blown out.

t6, i think there were 3 seconds left after the TD. definitey have to give credit to KC but terrible by TN.
undermysac, every inch of the qb has to be beyond the line. it looked very close. i assume they reviewed it but the annoucners didn't give us a good replay to see for sure.
also, why can't any of my teams field a f*cking punt today?

The Rams are #2 in special teams dvoa...they say the ball isn't round and bounces funny...
Hekker is a beast.
But that really shouldn't happen. It is the guy who is catching the balls fault. He needs to waive it off.
Lately it does seem like these guys are having trouble fielding these punts - and I really don't know why. Why couldn't he get up and catch that ball in the air?

It was a shiitshow from both sides, not too mention the refs again, Triplette should'n't be anywhere near a playoff game. Yeah Tenn is terrible, and so is Mularky, but the majority of the blame is on that fat f.uck Reid. Up 21-3 at the half and after Kelce goes out, arguably their best offensive weapon, instead of running the ball with the NFL's leading rusher, he decides to put Hunt in the witness protection program and leave our not so good defense out on the filed for the whole second half. This is now the second time that worthless sack of shiit has blown an 18 point lead in the playoffs. Reid is the white Marvin Lewis, not just a retaard but the Mount Everest of retaards

and didn't the refs miss two fumbles? the kelce hit looked like a fumble and that big sack on mariota where they called that forward progress bullshit was definitely a fumble.

no argument here, HK.

ok, one very last thing. what the f*ck was that two point conversion try?
henry was probably around 7 yards/carry and mariota was at 6 yards/carry if you want to do something with him. and they rush some Wr screen with an offensive line man out there trying to block a guy 10 times quicker than him in space.

Yep, those were Triplette fuuckups. The only people that benefited from this game were Patriots. Now that Mularky saved his asss for another season, Josh McDaniels might stay in NE
