The Ottawa Senators travel to meet the Boston Bruins on Monday afternoon at TD Garden in Boston for a matinee game on President’s Day.

The Senators picked up a 7-2 victory over the skidding St. Louis Blues last time out, as the offense continues to click.

The Bruins are also doing big things on offense, including a 6-2 win over the New York Islanders last time out on Saturday.

This is the third of four regular-season meetings between these teams, with the Sens surprisingly leading the series 2-0 so far this season.

Will the Senators continue to be kryptonite to the Bruins, or will the home side finally come alive against their divisional rivals? Read our NHL betting picks below to find out.

Senators vs Bruins best odds

Senators vs Bruins picks and predictions

The Ottawa Senators have grabbed points in four in a row, and eight of the previous nine outings, including a 7-2 win over the St. Louis Blues last time out.

Surprisingly, the Senators have posted two victories in two tries against the Boston Bruins so far this season. Ottawa won a 7-5 slugfest against Boston in Canada’s capital city back on October 18 and registered a 3-2 win in a shootout on December 27.

The Senators boast three 20-goal scorers so far this season, with Tim Stutzle leading the way with 26 goals and Brady Tkachuk posting 24 goals and a team-high 60 points. Claude Giroux has also managed 22 goals with a +2 rating.

Ottawa has a very dangerous offense and Alex DeBrincat is poised to join the 20-goal club, as he is just one marker shot of joining the trio. The Sens also have six players with 14 or more goals, so you never know who's going to step up.

Oddly enough, Boston has just two players who have reached 20 goals this season, although David Pastrnak has gone bonkers with 39 goals and 75 points to lead the team. Patrice Bergeron is the only other player with 20 or more goals, although the B’s have nine players with 11 or more.

The difference here is goaltending. Rookie Kevin Mandolese (1-0-0, 1.85, .958 SV%) is expected to get the nod for the Sens, while All-Star Linus Ullmark (28-4-1, 1.91 GAA, .936 SV%, 2 SO) is projected to start for the home side. The latter has shown no signs of letting up, and the Boston offense should greet the rook rather rudely.

However, there is no value betting the money line, risking so much for so little. Instead, take a shot at the puck line and the home side.

My best bet: Bruins -1.5 (-120 at BetMGM)

Senators vs Bruins moneyline analysis

The Senators hold the season series lead 2-0, while outscoring the Bruins by a 10-7 count.

As an underdog, the Senators have been making bettors money lately. Ottawa has cashed outright in three of the past four games as an underdog, while covering the puck line in five of the past eight games.

Ottawa has won four in a row inside the Atlantic Division, while going 13-3 in the past 16 games against Eastern Conference foes. However, the Senators have managed to win just 12 of the previous 39 games against teams with a winning record.

Boston has won three in a row after an uncharacteristic 1-3-1 slide from January 26 to February 11. The B’s have lit the lamp 14 times during the three-game win streak while allowing just four total goals.

Boston has covered the puck line in each of the past two outings, while cashing on the puck line in seven of the past 10 as a favorite. So if you like the Bruins to snap Ottawa’s strange hold in this series, that's the way to go.

Senators vs Bruins Over/Under analysis

The Senators have registered three or more goals in eight straight games, averaging 4.5 goals per game (gpg) during the impressive span. It’s no surprise that the Over is 5-1 in the previous six outings, as well.

The Over is also 4-1 in the past five games against winning teams, while cashing in five of the past six games after allowing two goals or fewer in the previous outing.

The Bruins have managed 14 total goals in the past three games, but they have just one Over in the past four outings, while the Under is an impressive 8-3-2 in the past 13 games overall.

The Under is also 7-1-2 in the past 10 games after a win for the Bruins, while going 5-1 in the past six meetings in this series. That lone Over came in the October meeting in Canada, but the Under hit in the previous meeting in Beantown.

The lean is to the Under, especially with the legs a little heavy with an early puck drop. But go a half-unit at best, with the main play being the Bruins puck line.

Senators vs Bruins betting trend to know
