The Edmonton Oilers put up eight goals in their first game back from the Olympic break, and will look to keep rolling when they visit the San Jose Sharks this afternoon.

The NHL’s leading scorer, Connor McDavid, tallied two points last time out. I’m banking on Edmonton’s captain to rack up another multi-point effort in my Oilers vs. Sharks predictions and NHL picks for Saturday, February 28.

Oilers vs Sharks prediction

Oilers vs Sharks best bet: Connor McDavid Over 1.5 points (-130)

After leading the Olympics with 13 points in six games, Connor McDavid picked up right where he left off with two more points in an 8-1 win on Thursday.

The Edmonton Oilers captain has tallied Over 1.5 points in five of his last eight contests and is poised to pot another multi-point outing vs. the skidding San Jose Sharks.

San Jose ranks third-last in goals against per game (3.50), and has allowed 4.20 gpg during its current five-game losing streak.

McDavid also tallied two points vs. the Sharks in their only prior meeting this season on January 29.
