The Winnipeg Jets have dropped 10 straight to dive into the NHL basement, and they’ll host the surging Edmonton Oilers at the Canada Life Centre tonight.

My top Oilers vs. Jets predictions and NHL picks call for Edmonton to top Winnipeg for a fourth consecutive time tonight.

Oilers vs Jets prediction

Oilers vs Jets best bet: Oilers moneyline (-110)

The Edmonton Oilers have topped the Winnipeg Jets in each of their past three meetings, and the Jets have lost 10 straight to dip to an active 3-14-5 record.

Winnipeg has generated the seventh-fewest expected goals per 60 minutes at 5-on-5 while scoring the fourth-fewest goals per game during the slump, and No. 1 goalie Connor Hellebuyck hasn't been sharp with an .860 SV% across his past seven starts.

So, landing the Oilers at close to even money here is automatic for me.

Edmonton is in a 10-5-1 groove while averaging 4.0 goals per game, and superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have been putting on a nightly clinic with a combined 68 points.

Oilers vs Jets same-game parlay

As noted, the Jets struggle to score, and they’ve only scored four times across their past three meetings with the Oilers. Additionally, even with Hellebuyck’s highlighted struggles, I do expect him to begin turning the corner following consecutive Vezina Trophy seasons.

Turning to the final leg of this SGP, Oilers winger Zach Hyman has recorded 3+ shots in eight of his past 10 games for 37 total on 60 attempts. He’s logged a monster 20:04 of ice time with 4:08 on the power play during the run.
