Kraken vs Maple Leafs prediction

Kraken vs Maple Leafs Best bet: Auston Matthews Over 1.5 points (+160)

The Toronto Maple Leafs host the Seattle Kraken tonight at Scotiabank Arena.

The Buds have owned Seattle in their short lifespan in the league, winning seven of the past eight meetings between the two teams, with Toronto outscoring the Kraken 32-18.

A big contributor to those wins has been Auston Matthews. He’s recorded at least one point each time he’s faced the Kraken, recording 14 total points in eight games, registering four multi-point nights over the last five meetings against them.

AM34 has four goals and five points in as many games this season, but the recently debuted trio of Matthews, Easton Cowan, and Matthew Knies has shown good chemistry in limited minutes — displaying a 66% xGF in the 29+ minutes they’ve played.

Then there’s the power play opportunity for Matthews. Toronto’s power play finally scored in its last game, so the floodgates could open here for the Leafs on the man advantage. Moreover, the Kraken’s PK is operating at just 75% this season.

Seattle hasn’t defended very well on this road trip, surrendering eight combined goals to Montreal and Ottawa while allowing an average of 25.8 scoring chances per game this season. Matthews will take advantage.

Kraken vs Maple Leafs same-game parlay

Knies has arguably been the Leafs' most impressive forward early in the season, registering points in four of the five games this season.

He’s also hit the Over on his shots in four straight outings, averaging three per game. The fact the books are still offering this market at plus money is too good to pass up.
