The Houston Texans will look to make it three straight wins when they visit the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field for Monday Night Football.

My top NFL picks and Texans vs. Seahawks predictions are calling for just the opposite, with Seattle cashing in at home thanks to quarterback Sam Darnold and wide receivers Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp.

Our best Texans vs Seahawks SGP for Week 7

Few teams check out statistically as well as the Seattle Seahawks, and the only wins for the Houston Texans have come against the 1-5 Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens without star quarterback Lamar Jackson (hamstring).

Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud wasn’t sharp with a pedestrian 6.7 yards per attempt and a 64.0% completion rate across the first three games, either, so I’m expecting him to have his share of troubles against a respectable Seattle defense on Monday Night Football.

The Seahawks have surrendered the sixth-fewest points per game to start the season, while ranking seventh in DVOA and 11th in PFF defense grade, after all.

Of course, Seattle has also received elite quarterback play from Sam Darnold.

Year 1 in The Emerald City has been a sterling success with Darnold throwing for an NFL high 9.3 yards per attempt and pacing the league in EPA per play, while also ranking second in both PFF offense grade and passing grade.

Seattle No. 1 wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a huge reason Darnold has been money, too. The third-year wideout has hauled in 42 of 55 targets for 696 yards, while posting an elite 13.1 aDoT and 36.1% target share.

Second fiddle hasn’t sounded too bad for Seahawks pass-catcher Cooper Kupp, either. He’s caught 23 of 32 targets for 261 yards and 11.3 per reception on a healthy 21.3% target share.
