The Dallas Cowboys dropped their first preseason game last week with a loss to the Los Angeles Rams on the road, but they’ll look to get back on track at home when the 1-0 Baltimore Ravens visit AT&T Stadium.

Find out why my Ravens vs. Cowboys predictions and NFL picks for Saturday, August 16 expect a high-scoring matchup.

Ravens vs Cowboys prediction

Ravens vs Cowboys Best bet: Over 36.5 (-110)

Quarterback play will be the focal point in Saturday’s matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys. With strong signal-callers manning the helm for each team, I expect this to be a high-scoring affair at Jerry’s World.

Joe Milton III logged just one game for the Patriots last season as a rookie, but he showed out in that one, going 22 of 29 for 241 yards and a score and rushing 10 times for 16 yards and another touchdown. In his first preseason game with his new team, Milton finished 17 of 29 for 143 yards, a TD, and a pick, while rushing five times for 22 yards.

The Cowboys have named Milton the starter for this game, and they’ll surely give him plenty of snaps. As he looks to cement his role as Dak Prescott’s primary backup, expect Milton to build on last week’s performance.

Milton will also get some extra protection, as 12th overall pick Tyler Booker will make his NFL debut, bolstering the Cowboys’ offensive line.

On the other side of the field, Cooper Rush returns to Dallas to face the team with whom he spent the first seven seasons of his career.

Rush is a strong backup option who won nine of his 14 starts as a Cowboy. He finished just 2-for-4 with 16 yards and a pick in his first preseason game with Baltimore, but despite the poor play, Rush is poised to operate as the No. 2 to Lamar Jackson this season.

The Ravens should give him plenty of opportunities to bounce back against the Cowboys.

Both teams have a reason to get their quarterbacks going on Saturday, and I expect that emphasis on the passing game to translate into scoring opportunities.
