The Indianapolis Colts are looking like the real deal, and you need to bet on them to cover against Arizona right now before the spread lengthens.

At this point, the oddsmakers’ power ratings are pulsing with plenty of data points, and the spreads and totals are sharper than ever.

No matter how you get to your handicap, the first rule of NFL betting is to get the best number for your opinion. I help you do just that, looking at lines to add to your NFL picks right away and highlighting a few that could offer buyback after adjustments later in the week.

Here are my favorite “Bet Now, Bet Later” odds for NFL Week 6.

NFL predictions: Week 6 bet now, bet later picks

  • Cardinals at Colts (-4.5): Bet Now
  • Bears at Commanders (Under 50.5): Bet Later
  • Chargers at Dolphins (Under 46.5): Bet Now
  • 49ers (+2.5) at Buccaneers: Bet Later

Cardinals at Colts (-4.5): Bet Now

The Arizona Cardinals come to Indianapolis with the stink of Sunday’s improbable loss to Tennessee all over them. Arizona was a literal “Comedy of Errors” and threw a 21-3 lead in the toilet with some of the most ridiculous shit you have ever seen on a football field.

The Indianapolis Colts, on the other hand, looked like true contenders in an absolute ass waxing of the Raiders. Indianapolis was unstoppable on offense and disruptive on defense, improving to 4-1 ATS on the season.

While Arizona should have won that game — minus the botched TD-turned-touchback and that insane INT/fumble/Titans TD — public perception is going to push this spread upward, especially with books sitting just below the key number of six.

If you’re into Indy, you’ll want to bet the Colts -4.5 now and avoid a -6 or -6.5 later in the week.

Best odds to bet Colts -4.5 right now

Bears at Commanders (Under 50.5): Bet Later

This second Monday Night Football matchup of Week 6 has one of the biggest totals on the board, with bookies opening the number at 50.5 points. This sits just short of the key Over/Under marker of 51 points, and should the total creep up, bettors should wonder about the Under.

The Chicago Bears are coming off a bye week, allowing for some important cogs on the defense to get healthy. The extra time off also allows new defensive coordinator Dennis Allen to tighten the screws on a stop unit ranked in the bottom third of the league.

The Washington Commanders put in an impressive defensive performance vs. Los Angeles in Week 5. Washington held the Chargers to only 10 points while limiting Justin Herbert to 166 yards — just 4.8 yards per attempt — along with five sacks.

The Commies also still have injury questions at the skill positions, with Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown still on the mend. Keep an eye on the total and watch if it increases to 51 points later this week.

Chargers at Dolphins (Under 46.5): Bet Now

This Over/Under ranges from 46.5 to as low as 44 points at some sharper books on Sunday night. Those shops that did open on the higher end are dropping their number with early action on the Under.

The Miami Dolphins' offense was able to jump out to a quick lead against a bad Panthers defense, but the Fins’ playbook was terribly one-dimensional, and Tua Tagovailoa once again came up short in the crunch.

The Los Angeles Chargers managed only 10 points against Washington, with injuries on the offensive line stacking up and suffering another hit at running back — watching rookie Omarion Hampton go down with an ankle injury.

This swing to South Beach is the second cross-country 1 p.m. ET start for the Bolts in three weeks. It’s autumn in Florida, so we could see heat, humidity, and thunderstorms come Sunday. If you buy into the initial Under money, go find those remaining 46.5-point totals.

49ers (+2.5) at Buccaneers: Bet Later

The San Francisco 49ers get a mini bye after Thursday’s OT upset of Los Angeles, allowing them to lick their multiple wounds.

The 49ers have a laundry list of ailments but could get WRs Juan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall back for Week 6 along with some defensive reinforcements. Brock Purdy could also return under center — or the team may stick with the hot hand of Mac Jones.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers return to pirate waters off a wild win at Seattle on Sunday, improving to 4-1 SU. That has some books drawing early play on the Bucs and sliding this spread to the key number of a field goal.

Tampa also felt the bite of the injury bug to start 2025, with RB Bucky Irving out and WR Mike Evans still sidelined. Unlike the 49ers, who have leaned into their defense to get the job done, the Bucs' stop unit has been gashed for big gains and 93 total points the past three games.

If you’re thinking San Francisco in Week 6, make sure you at least get +3 as an underdog.
