Panthers vs Patriots Best bet: Under 43.5 Total Points (-115)
The Total Points line has dropped from 45.5 upon opening to 43.5, and it might yet still drop further. The odds movement is for good reason, these are two teams that have looked turgid offensively this season.
In terms of scoring both teams have been very close in 2025, with Carolina just outscoring New England by 20.7 point per game to 20.
This game looks to be poised to be low scoring with the New England Patriots having the second best record against the run in the NFL. That’s big news when Bryce Young has only thrown four touchdown passes through three games and failed to even throw one in their victory over the Falcons last Sunday.
The Carolina Panthers defense kept a shut out in that victory over the Falcons and have only given up 17.7 points per game, which puts them in a similar ballpark to some great defenses such as the Chargers and Texans.
Backing the Under looks the smartest play here. The Over is 1-2 through three games for the Patriots, 0-2 at Foxborough and 0-1 when New England are favorites.
Meanwhile the Over is 1-2 in Panthers’ games. The Patriots have only scored more than 15 points once this season, while the Panthers have only managed it twice.
Don’t overthink it, these are two bad offenses with reasonable defenses.
