The Detroit Lions have surrendered at least 30 points in back-to-back games. Their defense started the season strong but has since regressed, ranking 27th in the league in dropback EPA since the beginning of November.
They'll have a tough time slowing down a Los Angeles Rams offense that leads the league in EPA/play and success rate. The Rams have dropped 34+ points in five of their last seven games and will likely lean on their aerial attack against a Detroit secondary missing three starters.
That means plenty of throws for Matthew Stafford, who is fourth in the NFL in passing yards (3,354) this season. The MVP favorite has torched the Lions for over 300 yards in both career matchups against them.
Stafford leads the NFL in passing touchdowns (35) and has thrown more than 2.5 TDs in seven of his last 10 games.
Even when the Rams get close to the goal line, they've been choosing not to run the ball and instead throw quick slants and fades to Davante Adams. Adams leads the league in red-zone targets (30) and receiving touchdowns (14) by a wide margin.
