The Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens hook up on Monday Night Football, and we are locked in on the Lamar Jackson odds

While Jackson has made strides as a pocket passer, his running ability is the focus of our NFL picks for Monday, September 22.

Lamar Jackson prop pick

Lamar Jackson best bet: Longest rush Over 16.5 yards (-115 at bet365)

We know about Lamar Jackson’s ability as a dual-threat quarterback, and although he has relied less upon his legs over the past couple of seasons, as he’s developed his arm, he’s still very dangerous when he chooses to run.

Through the opening two weeks of the season, he’s only rushed eight times but has ripped off 83 yards with those carries. Most importantly for us, he’s had a longest rush of 19 and 11 yards in both games so far, against the Bills and Browns, respectively. If you go back to the start of last season, he’s had a longest rush of 17 or more yards in 10 of 21 games played.

Just last week, we saw the Detroit Lions give up a 20-yard rush to D’Andre Swift, and in the opening weekend, we saw Josh Jacobs, a back with far less speed than Jackson, manage a 15-yard rush. You’d have to think that Jackson has a great chance of getting a big run, especially with the Lions’ defense focused on the threat of Derrick Henry.

Lamar Jackson same-game parlay

Jackson Over 16.5 longest rush

Jackson Over 1.5 passing touchdowns

Rashod Bateman anytime TD

Lamar Jackson has thrown at least two in each game this season, and if you go back into last season, he’s thrown multiple touchdowns in nine straight games.

Through two games, we haven’t seen Rashod Bateman get as much as a single red zone target, let alone a touchdown, but he’s due for some positive regression. Last season was a breakout for the wideout that the team drafted in the first round back in 2021. He hauled in 11 touchdown passes last year and will find himself back in the endzone again soon.
