Kalshi now offers NFL player prop markets that pay out based on the player's final stats. We explain how they work, and what players could be worth targeting today.

Kalshi has released a new way to target player props — ladders and escalator markets.

The premise is simple: You get paid out based on the player's final stat line, with ladders adding extra insurance if they fall short... and escalators increasing the payout if they have a HUGE day.

Learn more here about how these markets work, along with three players potentially worth targeting from this weekend's action.

Player Market
Ravens Derrick Henry 90+ Rushing Yards

Rams Puka Nacua 90+ Receiving Yards

Packers Christian Watson 70+ Receiving Yards

How Kalshi's Ladder and Escalator Markets work

Ladder

  • You get a fixed amount paid out per yard.
  • Payouts begin to accumulate as soon as the player records a single yard.
  • Recoup more money (than an escalator/straight trade) if they fall short of their posted total.

Escalator

  • Each step pays more than the last, so the payout rate increases as the player's yardage total rises.
  • Payouts begin to accumulate once the player reaches the 10-19 yard band.
  • Higher requirement for a break-even rate than a ladder/straight trade

Early NFL ladder target: Derrick Henry rushing yards

Ravens/Browns is always a hard-nosed rivalry, which lends itself to Derrick Henry being active in a ground-and-pound game script, along with the fact that Baltimore will either have backup Tyler Huntley at QB or a banged-up Lamar Jackson.

Add in that the Browns are missing their top defensive tackle (Mason Graham) and are far from a prolific offense, and Baltimore should have no pressure to abandon the run game — meaning lots of touches for King Henry on Sunday.

Payouts (on a $10 trade for 90+ yards)

200 yards $19.32 $19.68 $57.02

Afternoon NFL ladder target: Puka Nacua receiving yards

Nacua has gone for 125 and 138 receiving yards in two games since returning from injury, and now faces an Arizona Cardinals defense that has been torched by star WRs, with Jaxon Smith-Njigba totaling 155 yards and Malik Nabers going for 112.

The Cardinals offense is also capable of keeping pace with the Rams, so a competitive game means Nacua should be active all four quarters.

Sunday Night Football ladder target: Christian Watson receiving yards

Christian Watson has emerged as Green Bay's No. 1 receiver, posting totals of 143 and 147 yards already this season, and has a prime-time showdown against a Cowboys secondary that is 21st in passing yards allowed... despite facing Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, and Jalon Daniels in three of its five games.

The Packers have not hesitated to throw deep balls to Watson, so there's potential for some big chunk gains — and another lofty yardage total.
