Get ready for a Sunday packed with big matchups and divisional clashes.
I'm studying the data and odds to find the best first touchdown scorer props for Week 10.
Capped off by Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid, here are my latest NFL picks for November 9.
Best Week 10 first TD scorer props
TD prop #1: Rico Dowdle first TD scorer
The Carolina Panthers face the New Orleans Saints on home soil this Sunday, and we’re backing running back Rico Dowdle to open the scoring. The Saints have been better against the pass than the run this season, which should open the game up nicely for Dowdle to find the end zone first.
With the Panthers being 5.5-point favorites, they are likely to strike first.
As for Dowdle himself, he’s gone nuclear over the past six weeks, with an average of 130.4 rushing yards per game, and he’s managed to get himself to third in the NFL’s rushing yard table, despite only starting three games.
Dowdle’s in scoring form as well, finding the end zone twice last week. Against the 1-8 Saints, he should score early.
TD prop #2: Kyle Monangai first TD scorer
We’re taking Kyle Monangai to open the scoring as the Chicago Bears host the New York Giants at Soldier Field. D’Andre Swift is questionable, but after Monangai’s performances, he’s earned a lot more gametime.
Ben Johnson has praised the rookie and said that he’s going to play the hot hand with the RB duo, which makes Monangai an intriguing option to score first here.
Only two teams have allowed more touchdowns to running backs than the Giants, who have given up 11, with eight on the ground and three in the passing game. Monangai was really impressive last week, handling his 26 carries expertly as he rushed for 176 yards.
The Bears' offensive line is dominant, and Monangai should be their goal-line back.
TD prop #3: Dalton Kincaid first TD scorer
No team is more favored to win on Sunday than the Buffalo Bills, who visit the Miami Dolphins.
However, there are six players with shorter odds than Dalton Kincaid to open the scoring in that game, including both starting running backs, Josh Allen, and three wideouts across both teams.
But why?
Kincaid has scored the first touchdown in three of his seven games this season, tied for the most in the NFL. Not only that, but the Dolphins have given up six touchdowns to the tight end position in nine games, the second most of any team in the NFL.
The Bills have shown they’re happy to get him the ball in the red zone early, they’re heavy favorites, and the Dolphins are weak against TEs. Smash the first TD bet for Kincaid on Sunday.
