The Vikings' defense has been the best in football, ranking first in points allowed per game (12.8), defensive EPA/play, and second in total defense. I don't see the Colts putting together plenty of drives with a bottom-10 passing offense.

Minnesota has the best defense in the league, and with the total sitting at 41.5, the Under looks mighty fine as part of our Colts vs. Vikings predictions.

The Minnesota Vikings host the Indianapolis Colts as 71% favorites at Kalshi - and for good reason; the Colts might not score more than 10 points in this one.

Early Colts vs Vikings spread pick: Vikings -6.5

Yes, the Minnesota Vikings' defense has been the best in football by a wide margin, ranking first in points allowed per game (12.8), defensive EPA/play, and second in total defense. I don't see the Indianapolis Colts putting together plenty of drives as a result, especially with a bottom-10 passing offense and Daniel Jones struggling over the last four weeks — throwing two picks just last week against the Tennessee Titans.

If the offense is just serviceable in Week 7, which it should be against a Colts defense allowing 27 points per game (and just coughed up 26 to the Titans), the Vikings should have no problem covering here.

Early Colts vs Vikings total pick: Under 41.5

Not only is the Vikings' defense ranked first in points allowed and defensive EPA, but they own the best red-zone defense in football, allowing teams to score at just a 25% clip inside the 20. That's pretty damn incredible if you ask me; this bend-don't-break mentality is going to be a huge reason this Under cashes.

Offensively, Minnesota hasn't exactly been lighting up the scoreboard, averaging just 21 points per game. The Vikings don't need to be spectacular on that side of the ball to win games - they simply need to be serviceable and avoid costly mistakes. Even against a struggling Colts defense, I'm not expecting many explosive plays.

Instead, this matchup has the makings of a conservative, low-scoring affair with limited scoring opportunities.
