Of course, the Lions are coming off a big 38-30 win in Baltimore on Monday Night Football. My Browns vs. Lions predictions and NFL picks expect Detroit to limit Cleveland’s offense on Sunday afternoon.

Browns vs Lions Best bet: Browns team total Under 16.5 (-105)
The Cleveland Browns have scored 16, 17, and 13 points in their three games thus far, and I’m a bit surprised to see this line at 16.5 rather than closer to 13.5.
The Browns were held Under 16.5 points in 12 of their 17 games last season, and only went Over 16.5 points twice on the road.
While the Detroit Lions allowed Over 16.5 points in 10 of their 17 games last season and have done so in each game this year, the game script for this one should be a slower pace.
Cleveland has the best running defense in the league, limiting the likes of Josh Jacobs and Derrick Henry to 30 and 23 yards, respectively, despite getting 16 and 11 carries. The Browns have allowed a league-low 613 yards overall and just 172 on the ground.
Detroit held the Jaguars, Vikings, and Titans below this number at home last season. I see a similar outcome on Sunday afternoon.

If our best bet comes through, the Lions should easily cover -9.5
Then we have the two Detroit running backs, Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, to score a touchdown. Each of them scored once in Week 2 and then twice last week in Baltimore.

I can’t in good faith recommend betting on the Browns to win again. If you have to take a moneyline side in this game, it will be the Lions at -500. They went 7-2 at home last season.

The Lions sit as 9.5-point favorites as of writing, and that seems like a line they can cover. I’m not sure if I would be as confident with a -10.5, but Cleveland lost 41-17 in Baltimore while Detroit came away with that 38-30 win. The Browns have been awful on the road, and I expect that to continue.
Browns vs Lions Over/Under prediction
The Lions are capable of getting to this 44.5 total themselves, but the Browns should try to slow the game down and win in a slog, given their running defense. I’m not betting the total, but would take the Under 44.5 as it correlates to my best bet.
