The San Francisco 49ers head to Lumen Field to face the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Divisional Round on Saturday night.

These NFC West rivals had defensive battles when they previously clashed this season, which is why my 49ers vs. Seahawks player props are fading Sam Darnold and Christian McCaffrey.

Here are my best free NFL picks for January 17.

Christian McCaffrey longest rush Under 11.5 Yards (+104)

San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey has been highly productive as a receiver but hasn't been able to find room on the ground. He's averaging just 3.8 yards per carry in the regular season and playoffs and hasn't broken many big runs.

McCaffrey's longest rush has been below 11.5 yards in nine of his last 15 games. That includes Week 18 against the Seattle Seahawks, when his best carry went for a meager five yards.

Seattle has the league's top-rated run defense and holds opponents to an explosive run rate of just 6.7% — easily the lowest number in the NFL. In addition, the Seahawks are 7-point faves, suggesting a passing-heavy script for the Niners and fewer carries for C-Mac.

Sam Darnold Under 233.5 passing yards (-114)

Seahawks QB Sam Darnold popped up on Thursday's injury report with an oblique injury that he felt when throwing in routes on air. He'll definitely play, but I doubt Seattle will push the ball downfield, especially with Darnold's history of melting down in big games.

Keep in mind that Darnold threw for less than 200 yards in the final two games of the regular season and had just 150 passing yards against San Fran in Week 1.

The Seahawks had the third-lowest passing rate in the NFL and played at the sixth-slowest tempo. Expect them to lean on their defense and ground game, resulting in Darnold falling short of his passing yards prop.

Zach Charbonnet Over 46.5 rushing yards (-114)

Zach Charbonnet saw his touches surge towards the end of the regular season. He carried the rock 17 times for 74 yards against San Fran in the season final and logged 18 carries for 110 yards against Carolina the week before.

It's worth noting that Charbonnet has faced 8+ defenders in the box on 35.3% of his runs — the third-highest number in the league. However, San Francisco's defense has used a stacked box a league-low 15.6% of the time.

The Niners are 31st in the league in defensive rush success rate and have struggled to tackle in the second level due to a cluster of injuries at linebacker.
