While both the Aggies and Tigers are coming off losses, Lane Kiffin's team has a lot more to believe in heading into this Week 4 showdown.

Both Texas A&M and LSU will be looking for bounce-back performances when they take the field at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La., on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC).

Despite their loss to Ole Miss, the Tigers are 8.5-point home favorites, and my Texas A&M vs. LSU predictions and college football picks are backing Lane Kiffin's defense to lead his team to a decisive home win in Death Valley on Saturday night.

Early Texas A&M vs LSU spread pick: LSU -8.5

Kalshi probability: 51%

This is a big spread, considering both programs lost last week as favorites, but those were very different losses, which is why I like LSU to cover up to -9.5 at home against this Texas A&M team.

In its loss to Ole Miss, the Tigers nearly came back from down 24-7 in the second half on the road in one of the most hostile environments you will see this college football season. Lane Kiffin's Tigers even finished with a higher net success rate than his former team in the loss.

Texas A&M lost by double digits at home to an unranked Kentucky team, with a QB making his first career road start. The Aggies' offense is a real problem, ranking last in the SEC in offensive explosiveness (1.061), with Marcel Reed struggling.

Reed is Top 20 in the Power Four in turnover-worthy play rate (3.8%), and he has the sixth-lowest adjusted completion percentage (66.7%). LSU's defense is arguably the best in the SEC when it's not against the Heisman Trophy odds favorite, Trinidad Chambliss.

Early Texas A&M vs LSU total pick: Under 51.5

Kalshi probability: 48%

Even with Chambliss making jaw-dropping plays against LSU in the Magnolia Bowl, it's easy to see the Tigers have one of the best defenses in the country. Mix that in with Texas A&M's offensive struggles, and I like the Under here at 50.5 or higher.

LSU's defense is No. 2 in both EPA per pass and EPA per rush, and No. 1 in available yards percentage (15.3%). The Tigers are third nationally in havoc rate (30.2%), fourth in tackles for loss per game (11), and have 68 pressures in three games.

Texas A&M's offense isn't in the Top 40 in most relevant stats, but its defense does remain one of the best. The Aggies are Top 20 in EPA per pass, EPA per rush, and available yards percentage (24.7%).

They should be able to force Sam Leavitt into enough mistakes (24.4% pressure-to-sack rate, five interceptions) to keep LSU's scoring down. I have the Tigers taking this at home 27-17.
