Two games into last season, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish’s year looked destroyed. The Irish Playoff hopes were dashed. There did not seem any reason to play with focus moving forward.
Notre Dame went to Purdue and won 66-7 in a game that was not even that close. Four different Irish ballcarriers found the end zone, led by Riley Leonard’s three touchdowns.
So before dismissing any bets on Notre Dame this week, recognize that Marcus Freeman has rallied his team in this exact moment before.
