Prop pick #1: Keelon Russell Over 228.5 passing yards

ProphetX probability: 53.9%

Expect a human highlight reel as heralded quarterback Keelon Russell takes the reins in 2026. The former five-star recruit oozes potential, and the Alabama Crimson Tide will seek to maximize that from the get-go to get this program back in contention. 

The Tide averaged 263.5 passing yards per game a year ago and will be close to that level again. Bama managed 236.4 passing yards per game with Jalen Milroe under center in Kalen DeBoer's first year in Tuscaloosa, and Russell is a much more advanced passer than the run-first Milroe.

Ryan Coleman-Williams and Lotzeir Brooks are too much for East Carolina to handle, so Russell & Co. should find success through the air in Saturday's opener at Bryant-Denny.

Prop pick #2: DJ Vonnahme Over 20.5 receiving yards

The Iowa Hawkeyes have a strong case as "Tight End U" after producing NFL stalwarts like George Kittle, Sam LaPorta, T.J. Hockenson, and Dallas Clark. Next up: DJ Vonnahme. 

We got a glimpse of his potential when he averaged 74.2 receiving yards through the final five games of the season. He cleared this lowly prop with ease each contest, capped by a 146-yard performance against Vanderbilt in the ReliaQuest Bowl. 

Vonnahme leads all returning tight ends in yards per route run (3.10). He's only scratching the surface of his potential after transitioning from quarterback a few years ago, and NFL Draft scouts are taking notice. 

This line will tick up, and I'd keep playing it to 38.5.

Prop pick #3: Zeon Chriss-Gremillion Over 26.5 rushing yards

Tulane named Zeon Chriss-Gremillion the starting quarterback, meaning you should expect a run-heavy approach from the offense. 

Duke returns just five of its top 14 tacklers to a defense that was atrocious, ranking 116th in EPA per play and surrendering 424.2 total yards per game. The run defense figures to be a weakness after losing its top four linemen and two of the top three linebackers.

That's music to Tulane's ears. Will Hall will feature Chriss-Gremillion's legs given his 992 career rushing yards, especially with lead back Jamauri McClure banged up and considered questionable for this contest.

Prop pick #4: Ian Strong Over 59.5 receiving yards

College football's most tantalizing quarterback, Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele, returns to Berkeley after throwing for 3,454 yards and 18 touchdowns as a true freshman. He's the star around which this team was built, and the receiving corps is fortified with several transfer portal additions to fit his needs.

Chief among the new additions is Rutgers transfer Ian Strong, who has reeled in 52 receptions for 1,668 yards and 12 scores across three seasons. This will be by far the best quarterback he's ever played with, and he's the alpha in the receiving room, so expect career numbers in 2026.

UCLA ranked 135th in success rate defensively a year ago and has a lot of ground to make up to become serviceable. New defensive coordinator Colin Hitschler's scheme often involves leaving corners on islands while bringing the heat, and that'll be a tough ask for the secondary against a wideout like Strong.

Prop pick #5: Deuce Alexander Over 58.5 receiving yards

Mississippi quarterback Trinidad Chambliss' pass-catchers are going to look a whole lot different in 2026. Gone are Harrison Wallace III, De'Zhaun Stribling, Dae'Quan Wright, and Winston Watkins, who combined for a whopping 225 receptions for 3,388 yards and 19 touchdowns. 

Only one of the top six targets returns: Deuce Alexander. The speedy target averaged 45.6 yards per game and is due for a significant increase in utilization, and this market isn't adjusting fast enough.

Chambliss is the star of stars, and his familiarity with Alexander should lead to connections early and often. Louisville represents a tough test, so Mississippi should opt to feed the beast in a game that's losable if they don't.
