Prime Time returns to the sideline for the Colorado Buffaloes' season opener against the visiting Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

And with his stars all gone, Deion Sanders and Co. may be in for a long night trying to slow down Haynes King and the Yellow Jackets' run game.

Georgia Tech’s edge in the trenches will be the anchor for this exciting SGP. And for more college football picks for this matchup, check out my full Georgia Tech vs. Colorado predictions.

Our best Georgia Tech vs Colorado SGP for Week 1

Coach Sanders hit up the transfer portal to replace almost his entire defense from a season ago, including having to try and find a substitute for Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter. Meaning the matchup with Georgia Tech will be a tough one.

The Yellow Jackets employ a power spread run scheme and love running downhill, including with QB Haynes King. He’s a true dual-threat QB. The senior signal caller threw for 2,114 yards while completing 72.9% of his passes with 14 touchdowns to just two interceptions, while adding another 587 yards and 11 scores on the ground in 11 games last season.

Georgia Tech should overpower Colorado in the trenches, and I like King to go Over his rushing total of 43.5 in the process.

Eventually, the Buffs will have to over-commit to stop that run game, and that’s when King can beat them over the top to his best target from a season ago, Malik Rutherford, who went for 702 yards on 62 catches last season.

To me, this all equates to a relatively easy win and cover for the Yellow Jackets.

Find the balance between the numbers and what you see on the playing field. Then find the best price using multiple books. And don’t ask him where the nickname Taco comes from. It's not an interesting story. Seriously.
