I’ve been picking a lot of stars from nationally renowned programs for my college football TD scorer picks so far this season, so I thought I’d dig a little deeper in Week 6.

For this weekend’s slate, I’m targeting players like quarterback Chandler Morris of the Virginia Cavaliers and Wyoming Cowboys wide receiver Chris Durr Jr., who find themselves in favorable matchups and represent strong value for bettors.

Let’s break down the best TD scorer prop bets below in my free college football picks for Week 6.

College football anytime touchdown picks for Week 6

  • Penn State Chandler Morris (+180)
  • Penn State Jacory Barney (+115)
  • Penn State Chris Durr Jr. (+110)

Prop bet #1: Chandler Morris anytime TD

The Virginia Cavaliers may be coming off a big win over the Florida State Seminoles, but they’re in for another tough test against the undefeated Louisville Cardinals this Saturday.

Louisville is allowing 18.8 ppg on the season, which sets up a great matchup against the Virginia offense, which has put up over 45 ppg. Against the Cardinals, it would make sense for the Cavaliers to lean on their strengths, which lie primarily in the running game. That’s also where Louisville has looked at least a little vulnerable, with opponents able to average 117.5 yards per game on the ground.

Virginia has a wealth of options on the ground, with Jmari Taylor having already scored seven touchdowns on the year and Harrison Waylee putting up 7.6 yards per carry. But I think that the best value in this game comes with quarterback Chandler Morris.

While Morris is not a high-volume runner, the Cavaliers have increasingly used him in the red zone. All four of his rushing touchdowns have come in the last two weeks, including three against Florida State. I like the odds on Morris finding the endzone again this weekend.

Prop bet #2: Jacory Barney anytime TD

The Nebraska Cornhuskers got off to a 3-0 start before dropping a game to the Michigan Wolverines a couple of weeks ago. They now get a chance to bounce back as heavy favorites against the 3-1 Michigan State Spartans, who have struggled to contain opposing offenses in 2025.

The Spartans are allowing an average of six yards per play and have been especially weak against the passing game. Opposing quarterbacks have put up a 149.8 rating against the Michigan State defense while completing 67.6% of their passes.

That plays right into the hands of the Nebraska offense. Dylan Raiola has thrown 11 touchdown passes this year with 1,137 yards on a 75.6 completion percentage, the kinds of numbers that suggest he’ll feast on the Spartans' secondary.

I’m betting on Jacory Barney to take the most advantage of that matchup. He leads the Cornhuskers in receptions (21) and has scored in each of the last two games, making him a solid pick to find the endzone again in Week 6.

Prop bet #3: Chris Durr Jr. anytime TD

The Wyoming Cowboys are riding a two-game losing streak and have been struggling to get anything going on offense this season. But they do have one weapon that has done some damage: sophomore wide receiver Chris Durr Jr., who has accounted for three scores.

The Cowboys will need a lot to go right to get a win over the 4-0 UNLV Rebels on Saturday. The Rebels haven’t exactly shut down their opponents on offense, allowing at least 21 points in each of their first four games. It’s only been due to their explosive offense that they’ve been able to close out wins so far.

That should mean that Wyoming will be able to put some points on the board against the Rebels, too. Durr is well-positioned in that regard, having caught at least four balls in each game this season, scoring in three of those contests.

Oddsmakers think running back Samuel Harris is the best bet to score for the Cowboys. But he’s only found the endzone once, so I’m going with the more consistent option so far this year at longer odds in order to try and find a bit more value in this game.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
