Expert college basketball moneyline picks: Nov. 7

Nebraska vs Providence: Nebraska Nebraska

The Cornhuskers were one of my underrated teams to watch heading into the preseason, and what they accomplished last season was just the start of something special. This team has plenty of lethal shooters, especially Pryce Sandfort. They've also faced far tougher competition throughout October to gear up for this matchup. I like the Cornhuskers to take care of business on Saturday.

Maryland vs Georgetown: Maryland Maryland

Georgetown should be on the upswing following a season plagued by injuries, but Maryland has a deep roster peppered with plenty of players familiar with Buzz Williams’ system. Plus, the Terps have a ton of length, which could be a major advantage against the Hoyas, whose shortest player is 6-foot-4.

New Mexico State vs Gonzaga: Gonzaga Gonzaga

Take the Bulldogs to win. After this game, Gonzaga has a week off before hosting LSU. There's no reason for them to take their foot off the gas. They should be focused on cleaning up any flaws and showing absolutely no mercy.

Morehead State vs Louisville: Louisville Louisville

Take the Cardinals to win. Similar to Gonzaga above, this team has nothing else on the schedule for a week before hitting the road to take on Memphis. They should be focused on taking care of business here before enjoying some time off.

VCU vs Memphis: Duke VCU

VCU returns much of the production from last year's NCAA Tournament team, giving the Rams plenty of familiarity, which is crucial early in the season. Memphis added plenty of offensive talent, but I like VCU's familiarity advantage in this matchup.

Colorado vs San Diego State: San Diego State San Diego State

The Buffaloes are projected to finish near the bottom of the Big 12, especially after losing four starters and six key contributors from last year. San Diego State had a down year last season, but under Brian Dutcher, it's hard to doubt the Aztecs.

UT Martin vs IU Indy: UNC IU Indy

RIP to the title, IUPUI. It is now IU Indy. Sad.

However, the Jaguars should be rock-solid in this matchup, unlike when they were P-U.

UT Martin has a lot of freshmen and newcomers from the other side of the pond, with plenty of different cultures colliding. It may take some time for this group to gel. I think the Jaguars are the side to take here. They'll run the ball up and down the court all game long. Good luck keeping up!

Bellarmine vs Miami (OH): Miami (Ohio) Miami (OH)

Being in the MAC, the RedHawks can't afford to take their foot off the gas. This should be an all-out domination by Miami (Ohio), as they draw a Bellarmine team that has already been blown out by Indiana and Vanderbilt. Now, Bellarmine has to take on a third top-100 team. Good luck!

Take the RedHawks to cover, too.

Sac State vs Santa Clara: UNC Santa Clara

Sacramento State prepared for this game by taking on non-Division I Jessup, while Santa Clara has already dominated Towson and Milwaukee. With no look-ahead spot, as the Broncos' next game isn't until Wednesday, they should go belt to bottom in this one.

Morgan State vs Niagara: UNC Niagara

This one is for the real sickos, as Haslametrics projects a close matchup, but it's the lowest-rated game on the board.

I'm backing Niagara in this ballgame after its loss to Ross Hodge and a very good West Virginia team. Meanwhile, Morgan State has dealt with back-to-back non-Division I opponents to kick off its season. The tougher schedule should have Niagara ready to secure its first win of the year.
