The undefeated No. 2 Iowa State Cyclones aim to remain perfect as they hit Allen Fieldhouse to face the Kansas Jayhawks in Big 12 play tonight.

This is the best T.J. Otzelberger squad we’ve seen, which is why my Iowa State vs. Kansas predictions expect the Cyclones to win in Lawrence for the first time since 2017.

Read all about it in my college basketball picks for January 13.

Iowa State vs Kansas prediction

Iowa State vs Kansas best bet: Iowa State -4 (-110)

The Iowa State Cyclones have established themselves as a legitimate National Championship contender through the first half of the season, sitting pretty with a 16-0 record.

They’re currently third overall in KenPom and are deadly on both ends of the court, ranking 12th in adjusted efficiency on offense and second on defense.

While the road trip to Lawrence is never fun, the Cyclones have played well in both road games, beating Purdue and Baylor by double digits.

This isn’t your typical Kansas Jayhawks team, as Bill Self’s 11-5 squad fell out of the rankings after an 11-point loss to West Virginia moved them to 1-2 in conference play. They have a -1.2 turnover margin, which is a major issue against the disruptive Cyclones (+6.7 TO margin).
